Strawberry Festival in Schaghticoke – by C. Barton
Schaghticoke- On Saturday June 18th from 10am –3pm the Community Builders of Schaghticoke with the support of the local community, hosted the second annual Strawberry Festival in the Village of Schaghticoke.

The Patio at Prospector’s – by C. Barton
Schaghticoke- Prospectors Restaurant owned and operated by Deanna and Brian Rohloff opened the doors of their establishment at 1544 State Route 40 in Schaghticoke in November of 2015. The couple currently resides in the area and has lifelong ties to the community. They hope that Prospectors adds to the options that people have in the community. In addition to Prospectors, the couple also owns Roli’s Auto, also in Schaghticoke, multiple rental properties in Mechanicville and a Nationwide Steel Business. All local vendors and contractors did the work to get the restaurant up and running. “We have awesome, very friendly staff,” says Deanna Rohloff. Most of the staff employed by Prospectors are from the local community. “We want to support local businesses,” says Deanna.

Strawberry Festival in Schaghticoke – by C. Barton
Schaghticoke- While the official days of summer have not hit yet, June is traditionally known as strawberry season in New York State. Strawberry festivals are one way that communities celebrate and recognize June as the best month to pick and enjoy one of the staples of the season.

Schaghticoke Youth Commission – by C. Barton
Schaghticoke- The summer youth program funded and sponsored through the Town and Village of Schaghticoke offers a variety of opportunities for students after the school year comes to a close. In addition to providing activities for student campers, the camp supports local businesses, promotes valuable work experience for youth and offers job opportunities for district residents.
