Bike Trails Expanding into Stillwater – by H. Wessell

TOWN OF STILLWATER, September 21 – Trails, and trails growing into a network, dominated a presentation by engineers for the Town to an annual joint meeting of if its Town Board, Planning Board and Zoning Board. Village Mayor Nelson also participated.

Ragner Relay at Brown’s Beach – by H. Wessell

One of the Ragnar Relay Races held across the nation each year   passed through the Town of Stillwater about dawn on Friday, September 25, using a new staging area – the Brown’s Beach parking lot – for its 45 vans at the start of one leg of its regional race from Saratoga Springs to Lake Placid. “Thank you for letting us use Brown's Beach this year,” wrote Race Director Katie Aston Seely to Town Supervisor Edward Kinowski. “We are thrilled to be at such an iconic spot – and I'm sure the sunrise photos will be great.”

Stillwater HS and Prevention Council

STILLWATER – The 2015-16 school year at Stillwater High School will include a series of programs designed to help Stillwater teens make responsible decisions concerning alcohol, tobacco and drug use. The Prevention Council of Saratoga will present a series of classroom and extracurricular programs highlighting the dangers of substance use as well as the consequences of harmful or threatening online behavior.

Stillwater, NY - Joshua Allen Paquette, 22, passed away Friday, September 25, 2015.

Relatives and friends may call from 10am to 1pm Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs (584-5373).

A Celebration of Life will be at 1pm at the funeral home and burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, West Ave.

Immediately following, all are invited to a reception to honor Joshua’s life at Mama Mia’s Café, 185 Ballston Ave., Saratoga Springs.
