MECHANICVILLE - Daniel A. Chevalier of Camber Court passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was 55.   Relatives and friends may call from 4-7:00pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 9:30am in the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

Mechanicville Housing Authority Audit Results

The Office of the New State Comptroller examined the internal controls of the Mechanicville Housing Authority’s handling of tenant rents for period covering October 1, 2013 – July 31, 2015. The State Comptroller found no discrepancies and that the Authority has adequate controls over the collection of tenant rent payments.

Rocco J. Camerato – 89

MECHANICVILLE – Rocco J. Camerato, 89, of So Main St, died early Monday morning at Diamond Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center after brief illness.  A native and lifelong resident of Mechanicville, he was born on April 1, 1927, son of the late Fred and Marietta Enzogna Camerato.  A 1945 MechanicvilleHigh School graduate, “Rocky” joined the US Marine Corps, proudly serving his country until being honorably discharged in 1946.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7PM at All Saints on the Hudson South Church, 121 No. Main St.,Mechanicville, NY 12118. A Mass of Christian Burial at the church will be on Thursday at 11AM with military honors and burial to follow at the Saratoga National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association of NY, Pine West Plaza, Bldg. 2, Suite204, Albany, NY 12205 in loving memory of Rocco J. BALLSTON SPA – David K. Sommerman, 72, of Lewis Rd, died Thursday, Apr. 14th at Saratoga Hospital, after an extended illness.

STILLWATER – Jean L. McAvoy, 76 of Clifton Court, died Wednesday, Apr. 13th at AlbanyMedical Center, following brain hemorrhage last week.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11 AM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville.  Burial in Stillwater Union Cemetery. Calling hours at the Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-6 PM.
