TOWN OF STILLWATER, April 21 – The agenda for the April 21 meeting of the Stillwater Town board dealt primarily with five matters up for vote: Scheduling a public hearing to consider extending the Franchise Agreement with Time Warner Cable;  Hiring of two Replacement Police Officers; temporarily waiving the Town Noise Ordinance for a one-time musical event at Brown’s Beach in May; appointing a Chairman to the Zoning Board of Appeals; and scheduling a Public Hearing to consider extending the franchise agreement with Time Warner Cable

MECHANICVILLE MARCH 16- The City Council covered variety of topics. Among them Commissioner of Finance Judy Gilheany reported that the city's revenues were $369,000 over budget. The major reason for that was the sale of 4 properties and 3 tax sales. DPW Commissioner Higgins reported that as a precaution water would be tested for PFOA. Mayor Baker said this was being done as a precaution only.

Erin Mastropietro Meeting Challenges – by Sandy McBride

   When Erin Mastropietro’s first ball of the tenth frame rocketed into the pins, a three pin split remained standing at the end of the alley.  A wave of groans followed by enthusiastic applause sounded from the crowd gathered at Hometown Lanes to watch the bowling match between Mechanicville High School and Cohoes High School on Thursday afternoon.

About 20 Stillwater residents were in attendance at the Special Meeting of the Village of Stillwater Board of Trustees where a final proposal and vote was taken on the special use permit for residential/commercial development on the property formerly known as the site of the American Linen Company.

Mechanicville City School District Facilities Planning Committee

On September 3", at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Mechanicville City School District's Board of Education, 7:00 PM, there will be a Facilities Committee report. The report will present the findings regarding a potential building project for the District.

There will be an additional meeting of the Mechanicville City School District's Board of Education on September 10", 7:00 PM, to conclude discussion regarding the Facilities Committee's presentation.

Mechanicville School Building Committee Holds Public Meeting – by T. Mahoney

MECHANICVILLE FEBRUARY 26-  In a meeting attended by over one hundred citizens the Mechanicville School Facilities Planning Committee hosted  a meeting  in the auditorium to listen to suggestions for improvements to the sports facilities. Superintendent Michael McCarthy, school board member and President of the Building Committee John Taglione, and architect Dave Bonacci of Bonacci Architects hosted the meeting.
