Stillwater Commitment, Continuity – By S. McBride

The Village of Stillwater is arguably one of the most historic towns in the nation, given its vital location along routes of travel, trade, settlement and defense as the United States was born and grew.  A whole lot of historic happenings took place here as both nation and village have grown and evolved from Colonial Days into today’s electronic age.

As with growth and change everywhere, too often we lose the links to the past, the connection to the people and events that have made us who and what we are.  How many times have we seen the destruction and replacement of those sites and buildings that tie us to those who’ve gone before, losing that vital connection to our past?

Leah is a spayed female Brittany Spaniel/Cattle Dog/Pit Mix who is approximately 3 years old. She is up to date on her shots and microchipped.

Leah's foster mom writes:
Since Leah has been living us, it has become very clear that she is potty trained, walks well on a leash, and is knowledgeable of the commands sit, lay down, stay, and shake (possibly more). She is friendly with all humans, and she likes our 2 kittens; however she is more timid with dogs (work in progress). Leah is crate trained but would prefer nothing more than to snuggle right up next to (or on top of you) in bed at night. She is FULL of puppy kisses and hugs. Leah would thrive in a family that enjoys taking her for long walks or even runs, and a family that has a place where Leah can run around, play fetch, and sunbathe. Leah would be a fantastic addition to any family looking to receive some serious puppy loving.

Calling all couch potatoes!!! This chunky monkey is ready to plop down beside you. Bailey loves to be scratched and prefers to be right near you all the time, normally on the sofa, where he likes to sleep half-on/half-off your lap (at 17 pounds he's almost too big to fit all the way). When really happy he will roll around on the floor and "rough-house"— occasionally giving little love-nips if you get him too excited. When scared Bailey will vocalize with a soft growl, he has never been aggressive, that's just him letting everyone know that it's "personal space" time. His favorite food is dry kibble although he does like to lick up the gravy in canned food. Overall Bailey is a gentle and loving cat. He would probably do best in a quiet house without children however he is good with other cats.

All HOPE cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on their shots, and have tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV.
