Courtney Luskin Named to Morrisville State College President's List

MORRISVILLE, NY (06/24/2016)-- Morrisville State recently announced that Courtney Luskin of Valley Falls, NY was named to the President's List for the Spring 2016 semester.

Students Earn Degrees from the University of Vermont

BURLINGTON, VT (06/24/2016)-- Some 2,329 students were awarded a variety of bachelor's degrees during the University of Vermont's 215th commencement ceremonies on May 22. Approximately 502 advanced degrees were awarded by the UVM Graduate College, and 106 took the oath of Hippocrates following the awarding of their M.D. degrees at ceremonies of the UVM College of Medicine.

Abigail Weiskopf of Clifton Park graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training Education

Class of 2016 graduates from Union College

SCHENECTADY, NY (06/21/2016)-- Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker offered some practical advice for the Class of 2016. The class included 550 students at Union's 222nd Commencement.

Brandon Jones, of Mechanicville, NY, received a Bachelor of Science majoring in Biochemistry magna cum laude

Nathaniel Parker, of Clifton Park, NY, received a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Political Science

Erin Wade, of Waterford, NY, received a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English summa cum laude

Jeffrey Williams, of Waterford, NY, received a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Economics

BUFFALO, NY (06/21/2016)-- Students who have completed at least 12 credit hours and who have a GPA of 3.5 or higher qualify for the dean's list at Buffalo State. We are pleased to recognize the following students who attained this honor in the Spring 2016 semester.

Western New England University Congratulates More Than 700 Students at the Spring 2016 Commencement Ceremony

SPRINGFIELD, MA (06/23/2016)-- The following local students were welcomed as alumni on May 21, 2016 at Western New England University's Commencement Ceremony. Congratulations graduates!

Emily Eddy of Schaghticoke (12154) graduated cum laude with a Doctor of Pharmacy .

James Eberle of Clifton Park (12065) graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Sport Management and Arts and Entertainment Management.

Sarah Marois of Waterford (12188) graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Accounting and Finance.

A. Nancy Lupo – 84

MECHANICVILLE -  A. Nancy Lupo, 84, of County Route 75, Mechanicville, NY died Thursday morning after a brief courageous battle with cancer in the company of her loving family to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born in Stillwater, NY February 8, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Barbolt Bull.

Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main ST . , Mechanicville on Sunday  from 5-8 PM.   A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 AM at The Church at Newtown Road,142 Lower Newtown Road, Waterford, NY 12188 with burial to follow at the Saratoga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hospice of Saratoga County and The Wesley Evergreen in Ballston Spa, NY in loving memory of A. Nancy Lupo.

MECHANICVILLE – Mrs. Patricia J. Helnarski, 89, former native of Mechanicville and longtime resident of Hemstreet Park, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17th at her home in Safety Harbor, Florida.

Private services will be held on Saturday, June 25th from 11AM - 1PM with burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Stillwater.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Organization, in memory of Patricia J. Helnarski.
