Retired Staff Sgt. Bernard ‘Joe’ Compo, Jr.

MECHANICVILLE – Retired Staff Sgt Bernard “Joe” Compo, Jr., USMC, and a resident of Zachary Ave., died Sunday, March 1st at the Stratton VA Medical Cr, Albany, after a brief illness.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at Noon at the American Legion, Post 91, South Main St., Mechanicville. Mechanicville School Building Committee Holds Public Meeting – by T. Mahoney

MECHANICVILLE FEBRUARY 26-  In a meeting attended by over one hundred citizens the Mechanicville School Facilities Planning Committee hosted  a meeting  in the auditorium to listen to suggestions for improvements to the sports facilities. Superintendent Michael McCarthy, school board member and President of the Building Committee John Taglione, and architect Dave Bonacci of Bonacci Architects hosted the meeting.
