H.O.P.E. Pets for Adoption

imageHenry is a distinguished 10-year old neutered male Schnauzer/Lab mix. This handsome fellow is up to date on his shots and micro-chipped. Henry has spent his life with an elderly couple and their cat. He's doing well in his foster home and is very loving. Henry gets along well with their dog, is housebroken, and seems to prefer women.

image-1Brady is an active 3-year old neutered male Border Collie/Lab mix, who is up to date on his shots and micro-chipped. He's a very loving and loyal dog who needs room to run. Brady is house trained and if you place a small bell on the door, he will ring it when he needs to go out! He is good with kids and dogs and is crate trained.

image-2Gabby is an 8-month old, black and white female kitten with beautiful golden eyes! She's a sweet, independent, calm little lady. Gabby enjoys hiding in boxes, surprising her friends as they walk by and having you throw a ball that she can chase. At night she insists on snuggling right up next to you and you will wake up having her stare at you until you get up and give her a treat. Gabby gets along with other cats and still plays with her dog friends. Gabby is spayed and up to date on her shots.

image-3Joanne is a spunky, lively two-year old cat. She is one of the cats that rules the roost. Joanne must know what is going on in her home at all times. She loves to snuggle and play with her owners. Joanne is good with other cats and dogs as well. Please contact Karla, at redefinedesign@excite.com for more about Joanne.

H.O.P.E. Pets for Adoption

imageJack is a 6-year old Dalmatian/Basset hound mix who is neutered, up to date on shots, and micro-chipped. He's a sweet, good-natured dog who is housebroken and crate trained. Sweet Jack is friendly and rides well in the car. Jack needs to find a home without cats and will make an excellent companion!

image-1Yukon is a neutered 8-year old male, who is up to date on his shots. Need a weight loss buddy? Yukon is your guy! He needs someone to help him trim down a bit more. Yukon came to us terribly overweight but has lost 20 pounds under the loving care of his HOPE foster. He's such a low key and loveable fellow. He's a perfect angel at HOPE's adoption clinics!  Yukon's foster Mom says, "he is a foster home's dream. And that is the absolute truth!" He's pretty mild mannered and gets along with other polite dogs. Yukon's feline foster-sis is teaching him how to live with cats.  At 8 years old, Yukon is eligible for our Senior to Senior program (no adoption fee for a person over 65).

image-2Benjamin is a sleek 1-year old neutered male who is up to date on his shots. Ben is a quiet and solitary cat.  His nickname is "Gentle Ben" because he is not very curious, sleeps a lot and is not phased by much of anything. Perhaps because he was abandoned behind an office building having to survive all on his own; however, he does like to sit on your lap, but mostly prefers just napping in his favorite chair. He always looks forward to the laser pointer play sessions and is extremely possessive with his bird toy. He spent some time in a home with dogs and seemed to get along just fine with them. If you are looking for a quiet, independent friend, Ben is the cat for you!

image-3Bronson is a very handsome solid black Siamese-like 7-month old kitten. He is a very people person cat, always welcomes meeting new human friends to play with and loves getting lots and lots of attention. Bronson is extremely curious and tends to get into everything. Along with being playful and energetic, he loves sitting on your lap and being picked up for that occasional hug. He gets along well with dogs and other cats. Bronson is neutered and up to date on his shots.

H.O.P.E. Pets for Adoption

imageBentley is a 3-year old neutered male Pomeranian, who is up to date on his shots and micro-chipped. He likes to ride in the car and is good with older children and other small dogs, though he does not seem to be fond of cats. Bentley is house trained and walks well on a leash.

image-1BUCKLEY (H.O.P.E. courtesy post) Neutered male, DOB: 06/17/2011, Breed: 1/2 Pit Bull & 1/2 Rottie, Weight: approximately 75 pounds BUCKLEY gets along with most dogs and likes kids. He likes cats, but they tend to be afraid of him. He does jump so we limit him to bigger kids. He gets very excited and needs some time to calm down when someone new comes around. He's eager to please and tries very hard to do the right things. He's very big and can be a little clumsy sometimes. He loves to go to creeks, especially the one at the Route 50 SPAC entrance. He loves to run at the dog park in Ballston Spa.

He's been to the Farmer's Market and did really well there with the people and dogs. He's been to downtown Saratoga also and does well. He loves attention and thinks he's a lap dog! He's very protective and barks at anyone who comes near his "home" until we let them get closer. He's a very energetic walker and will keep you at a good pace. We do use a prong collar with him because we have a lot of wild rabbits around and he will try to chase them. I love the big lug, but it hasn't been fair to him. We can't let him play with our older dog anymore because of her hips and they're both dying to play. Contact Patti at 518-368-2374 for more info.

image-2Lilith is a 3-month old long haired white, brown, and gray tiger female kitten. She loves to play, carrying her toys around the house and then leaving them on your bed. After a busy day, she'll snuggle right up next to you to sleep at night. Lilith came from a feral cat colony and still can be a bit shy. She needs a special someone that will be patient with her, allowing her to take her time trusting you. She likes to make friends with any animal she comes in contact with: dogs and cats.

image-3Kalhi is a 3-year old, grey and white, one-of-a-kind type of cat. She loves people and any attention she can get from her humans as well as other cats or dogs. She has many toes that make her look as though she has a hand: fingers and a thumb!

image-2Marley is a playful, fun two year old tabby cat. She was discovered as a nine month old kitten on a country road riddled with fleas and starving. From the time she arrived at her foster home she has been a doll. She rubs against people, encouraging them to pet her. She loves to hitch a ride on shoulders whenever the opportunity arises. Marley enjoys being wherever people are. She loves to be around other cats and is great with dogs.

For more information about Marley, please contact her foster mother, Karla, at redefinedesign@excite.com.

H.O.P.E Pets for Adoption

imageRed is a very handsome and well-mannered Bloodhound. He is a fit 'n trim 90 pounds and is believed to be 3-5 years old. Red is neutered, up to date on his shots, and micro-chipped. Red's foster was told by his previous owner that Red was trained in Search & Rescue. He knows all of the standard commands and likely others related to S&R. He seems to get along with everyone: people/kids, cats, and other dogs.

Red is available for adoption or for foster (his current foster home is 1 hour away from us, which makes it harder to get him to adoption events).

image-1Gus is an 8-year old Border Collie mix who is neutered and up to date on his shots. He is a smart, active dog who would love someone to run or hike with. Gus loves to be with his owners the most. He enjoys going for long walks, hiking, and playing fetch with any type of ball. He is a very loyal and protective dog who is under voice command. He loves to herd his family while running off his leash. He enjoys playing fetch and learns very quickly. He understands the words- come, sit, stay, wait, down, bed, and outside.  After a long active day, Gus will curl up next to you at night; he loves taking naps by the fire. He will also put himself to bed if he gets too tired! He sleeps on either a dog bed, human bed, or by the bedroom door and loves to sleep in!

Gus is good with other dogs and would do best in a home without young children.

image-2Sam is as friendly as he is fluffy (and he is VERY fluffy), is neutered, and up to date on his shots. This 8-year old handsome Maine Coon mix is a charming, well-mannered companion who loves headbutts and being scratched under the chin; in return, he will gently lick your hand. He is very active, clean, and a purr machine. Sam will warm your heart and your home!

image-3Marcy is a 3-year old, gray long-haired spayed female who is up to date on her shots. Marcy is small for her age, causing many to consider her a kitten. She gets along with everybody and can fits in any environment. Marcy has a very small tail that seems to be only half as long as it should be. She loves attention and will just curl up in your lap and hang out with you. For the last few years, Marcy had been living outside in an abandoned barn with a colony of other cats. She welcomed the chance to come inside and be fed and cared for by her foster family. Please give Miss Marcy the great life she deserves.
