Local Students Will Travel to Washington, D.C. for Prestigious Journalism Conference

The Stillwater Board of Education met in the Stillwater Middle School/High School Library on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. The meeting was a special program night where students and their teachers had an opportunity to present some of the English Language Arts and BOCES accomplishments and achievements provided through these programs.

Oscar Brundige WWII Vet Remembered – by H. Wessell

BALLSTON SPA, January 20  – Since August 1999  Saratoga County has recognized over 300 residents who answered the call of duty, in monthly Deceased Veteran memorial ceremonies held by the Board of Supervisors and the County's Veterans Service Agency.

   This month's honoree was Oscar Brundige of the Town of Stillwater.

Mrs. Geraldyne Clickner Bechard – 90

STILLWATER – Mrs. Geraldyne Clickner Bechard, 90, longtime resident of No. Hudson Ave. died peacefully Saturday, Jan 17th at Wesley Health Care Center, Saratoga Springs, following an extended illness.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan 21st, at Noon at All Saints on the Hudson’sNorth Church, Stillwater , with spring burial to follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery.Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St. , Mechanicville on Tuesday from 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Wesley Foundation, 131 Lawrence St. ,Saratoga Springs 12866 .
