Saratoga Co. Studying Body Cameras for Deputies – by H. Wessell

BALLSTON SPA,  January 28 – The recently formed Saratoga Board of Supervisors subcommittee on adopting body cameras as standard equipment for its patrol officers met for the first time last week. Mechanicville Sports Teams Earn Scholar Athlete Honors – by S. McBride

Before the new school year starts at the end of each summer, high school kids hit the fields and courts to get ready for fall sports.  Any high school athlete will tell you that getting whipped back into shape after summer vacation takes a lot of hard work.  But then the first day of school arrives, and they also have to get back into study mode which is also a lot of work.

When high school students can put together a fall sports season and a first marking period and show remarkable success in both, it’s a tribute to their work ethic, their time management and their desire to succeed.  It’s also a tribute to the coaches and teachers who demand the best from them.
