Root, 93, of Hemstreet Park, died Friday morning, Dec. 4th at his home, following an extended illness.   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday evening at 7 PM at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 No. Main St., Mechanicville.  Calling hours at the Church Monday from 4-7 PM. Burial with military honors will be Tuesday at 10 AM at the Saratoga National Cemetery.Arrangements by DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, Mechanicville.

Schaghticoke-The third annual Radiant Peace Tree Lighting Memorial ceremony took place on November 28th at the Schaghticoke Town Hall at 5pm. The Radiant Peace Memorial offers people a unique opportunity to decorate and dedicate a memorial tree in remembrance of those“ who can’t be with us this holiday season.”
