Mrs. F. “Jean” Schunk – 74

CLIFTON PARK, NY – Mrs. F. “Jean” Schunk, 74, died Saturday, Jan. 9th at Ellis Hospital, Schenectady, after an extended illness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Jan 13th at 10 AM at St. Edward’s Church, 569 Clifton Park Center Rd.  Burial in Saratoga National Cemetery.

Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville on Tuesday from 4-7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Malta/Stillwater E M S, 2449 Rte 9,Malta, NY 12020 in memory of F. Jean Schunk.

Angelo J. Fuschino – 88

BALLSTON SPA – Angelo J. Fuschino, 88, of Prospect St., died Thursday Jan. 7th at Saratoga Center, after a brief illness.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 1 PM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville.  Burial with military honors in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Calling hours at the Funeral Home on Monday from 11 AM – 1 PM.

Rebecca Gifford of Schaghticoke Named to Lasell College Dean’s List for Fall 2015

NEWTON, MA (01/06/2016)-- Lasell College in Newton, MA recently named Rebecca Gifford of Schaghticoke, NY to the Lasell College Dean's List for the Fall 2015 semester.

Gifford, whose major is Event Management, is a member of the class of 2019 and was among 726 students honored in the Fall 2015 semester.

Fire In Waterford

WATERFORD - A two-story building on Broad Street caught fire early Wednesday, December 30th, drawing nearly 80 firefighters who stopped the flames from spreading across the block in the heart of the village.
