Sidetrack Litter - One of our Southern rescue coordinator's took these pups from a home on the side of the railroad track. They are helping the owner get the Mom spayed and we got the beautiful pups. They are about 9-10 weeks old and have had first shots, wormed and have been vet checked. For more information please call the shelter at 518-654-6220.
Chihuahua mixes - These are some very cute little babies. They are about 10 weeks old and have come from a high kill shelter in the South. They have had their first set of shots, wormed, and have been vet checked. For more information please call the shelter at 518 654-6220
Topaz - This beautiful girl was most likely part of a TNR program. She lost her home when her mother developed cancer. She is a LOVE!!! What a pet she is!! Buddy - Buddy lost his home due to severe illness within the family. He was always loved and well cared for but the family feel they cannot provide the attention he needs and won't be able to receive. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and good with kids. He is approximately 6 years old, Shitzu Pom, super friendly. Please give buddy a new future.
Backyard Litter - This guy is the last of his litter to be adopted. He is a bit shy at first but comes around quickly. He has the best disposition when you get to know him. He is definitely a favorite around here. He is listed as a Lab X Hound mix abut looks to be very Lab. Whoever gets him will have a wonderful and brilliant companion. ADK Save – A – Stray Pets for Adoption

Boshie - Blonde, Male, Pomeranian, 3-5 years old. Up to date on shots
Hayden & Evan - Chocolate, male, Pomeranian, 3-5 years old, up to date on shots.
These babies were rescued from a horrendous hording situation along with several others. We are getting them neutered, groomed and fully vetted before they come to us. They are very sweet, good with other animals and will make perfect lap dogs. If you are a Pom lover, please come and meet them.

Carey Circle puppy - This little guy was from a getto area. Our rescuer was driving one of the bad neighborhoods in Georgia and saw a lady walking a Mama dog that had been nursing pups. She immediately pulled over and asked where the pups were. She was told the rest of the pups had been traded or sold. This was the last of the pups and our rescuer took the puppy immediately and brought it to the vet. The woman would not give up the mother but she is trying to work with the owner to get her spayed.
Please come and meet this cute, 10 week old baby. For more information please call the shelter.
Kitten: We are really overloaded with kittens this year and they keep coming in. We have all different colors and coats. Please come and see all the little furballs that are in need of homes.

Emma - Emma was a rescue from down south who was adopted from us about 2 months ago. One of the children she lived with has allergies and so the family returned her to us. Emma is a sweet, beautiful and gentle pup. Now that she has grown a bit she appears to have some Great Dane in her and will likely be on the bigger side. Emma is also good with other dogs and cats. She is about 4 months old and up to date on her shots. This pup is going to be a real gem if you like slightly bigger dogs. Backyard litter - The owner of this litter could not care less about them and had just not gotten around to dumping them at the shelter when rescue found them. They were immediately taken to the vets and treated for a skin condition and given shots and wormed. They have had a very herd start to life and now deserve wonderful homes from here on out. All these pups are wonderful with excellent dispositions and will make wonderful Pets.
Clarence - This little guy was found as a stray and brought to the vets office before going to the shelter. The vet thought he was such a good boy he called rescue to see if we could help him out. May and her brood - This is really a good and bad story. This older gentleman was getting evicted and brought these kittens in to us with two Moms

Let me say this is the frustration that we have to deal with. Because he never secured the cage, one of the Moms escaped from his car and we are actively looking for her. Heartbreaking!! As the saying goes sad but true. So this Mama is stuck with all these babies to nurse. Some are seven weeks old and ready to go within the next few days. The others are about 3 weeks and have a few weeks to go(The other Mama's litter). Please, if you are looking for a new purr bucket, come and reserve one. We are desperate to find homes for them. Backyard Litter - These seven pups were rescued from backyard of a home in Mount Vernon. The man could have cared less that we took them. He just hadn't had time to "dump them at the shelter." They were immediately taken to our vet and vaccinated and treated for scabies. They have been at vet for over a week and been given dectomax injections. They have been cleared to go to rescue. There is five males two females and weigh between 8 to 12 lbs. They are currently in foster care. Please help with these puppies and give them a better start than they first were given.

Taz is adorable, he is small and about 6-8 months old, walks on a leash and is super friendly!! schnauzer mix?  he is ready to go!!
Kittens, Kittens and more kittens!: All colors and coats. Tis the season and they are pouring in to the shelter. Now is the time to add a new little furry companion to your family.
Coco - This is coco, she is a small Pomeranian mix. We were able to pull her just as her stray hold was up. She is up to date on shots and vet checked. She is a beauty and ready for her forever home.
