Noting that the only thing he’s been longer in his life than he’s been a football coach is to be a son and a brother, Vince Barber recently reflected on his 39 year coaching career that has now come to an end.  .  . maybe.  After twelve seasons coaching the Warriors of Stillwater Central School, Vince is stepping down.

Pearl Harbor Remembered at Manning Post 490

STILLWATER DECEMBER 5- Earl J Manning Post remembered Pearl Harbor on Saturday morning. Boy Scout Tom Coffinger read his essay about Pearl Harbor. He noted that there were 2,335 military deaths and 67 civilians died. The Japanese attack started at 7:55 AM on Oahu and ended at 9:45 AM.

Woerner Supports Eliminating Outside Income for Legislators

MECHANICVILLE DECEMBER 1- At a Town Hall meeting Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner said that she supported eliminating all outside income for members of the New York State legislature. Woerner spoke at the Community Center on Tuesday night. She also supported pension forfeiture for all members of the legislature who commit felonies . At present only members who were elected after 2011 would lose their pennons if convicted of a felony. Lastly she supports eliminating LLC loopholes for large anonymous donors.

Sandra M. “Sah” Dickson – 45

 

MECHANICVILLE – Sandra M. “Sah” Dickson, 45, of Bennington Ave., died Saturday, Dec. 5th at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, after being stricken at home, while decorating for the Christmas season. Death was attributed to natural causes.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at All Saints of the Hudson Church, 121 No. Main St., Mechanicville. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the All Saints on the Hudson Church, Wednesday from 4-7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, Sah’s family would like remembrances given to one’s favorite animal shelter in loving memory of Sandra “Sah” Dickson.
