MECHANICVILLE – Madelyn (Mickey) Sweeney, 88, died peacefully on Monday August 29th, at St. Peter’s Hospital following a brief illness.

Funeral Services will be held at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville on Tuesday, Sept 6th at 2:15 PM, with burial to follow at the Saratoga National Cemetery.  Funeral Home calling hours on Tuesday from  Noon to 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Mechanicville Area Community Services Center, 6 So. Main St., in loving memory of Madelyn “Mickey” Sweeney.

Joseph Fitzpatrick – 84

MECHANICVILLE – Joseph Fitzpatrick, 84, of Lincoln St., Hemstreet Park, died at home Wednesday, August 31, after a brief illness.   A 1950 graduate of Mechanicville High School, Joe was born on June 25, 1932, son of the late Arthur and Alice Green Fitzpatrick, Sr.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 1-3PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY with a service to follow at 3PM.  Burial with Military honors will be Monday at 9AM at the Saratoga National Cemetery. MECHANICVILLE - Theresa B. Burdick of Eighth Avenue passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at the Samaritan Hospital in Troy. She was 79.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-7:00pm on Monday, September 5, 2016 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 12 noon on Tuesday at All Saints on the Hudson, South Church, 121 North Main Street, Mechanicville. Burial will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery at 1:30pm following Mass.

Stillwater Hall of Fame Induction September 2nd

On Friday, September 2, the newest members of the Stillwater Athletic Hall of Fame will be inducted. This years inductees are Michael Kardash (Class of 1975), Peter D'Aloia Sr., Dominick Fruci, Aileen Durrant, and the 2005-06 Varsity Boys Basketball team. The inductees will be honored in the middle school cafeteria at 6 p.m. before the Varsity Football game versus Tamarac. They will also be honored on the field during halftime.
