Rocco is a sweet boxer/bulldog mix (DNA test) who weighs ~ 50 lbs. He's neutered, completely vetted, and microchipped. Rocco loves to curl up on the couch and enjoys when his human is nearby. He's low key; in fact, he can seem a bit aloof at first, but only because he needs time to trust that you will not give up on him. Rocco is housebroken and will let you know when he needs a potty break. A fenced-in yard is a must because Rocco deserves to run and play outside. Rocco should be an only pet - he needs to be with a family that focuses solely on him. In fact a one-on-one situation or an older couple might be best for him. He's smart and affectionate and will be devoted to you if you give him a chance.

To learn more about Rocco, please call Joette @ 518.681.1700 or, to fill out an online Adoption Application, visit www.hopeanimalrescue.org

Juliette is a 3 year female/spayed Lab. mix weighing 33 lbs. She's very sweet, full of wiggles & kisses, up to date on vaccinations and would make a great addition to your family!

Adirondack Save-A-Stray Pets for Adoption

FregieReubenEsmeralda & Kirby - Esmeralda came in half frozen to death with her kitten Kirby. She is a beautiful and sweet lady who loves her loving. Kirby is a special need kitten because he has a birth defect in his back legs and cannot walk normally because of it.  He sort of hops like a bunny and follows you around wherever you go. He would do best in a home without stairs or with carpeted stairs. They both have been checked by our vet, de-wormed, given shots and are ready for a nice, toasty, forever home. (They do not have to go together)
Esmareldaand kirbyFergie & Reuben - Rubin and Fergi are from Vidalia Animal Control
They seem to be bulldog/lab mix 10 week old pups.
very sweet, laid back pups. They have first shots, have been de-wormed and vet checked.

Elizabeth “Betty” DeCelle – 85

MECHANICVILLE - Elizabeth "Betty" DeCelle, 85, died peacefully early Sunday morning at her home, in the company of her devoted family.  Born October 16, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Charles Burton and Elizabeth Burton MacMurray and step-daughter of James MacMurray.

Betty worked several jobs in her life, serving as a waitress at the former Central Dairy in Mechanicville and a clerk for the Grand Union Distribution Center in Waterford until retiring in 1993.

She was a past president and longtime member of the Mechanicville-Stillwater Little League Women's Auxiliary, member of the Mechanicville High School Football Booster Club, All Saints on the Hudson scripture group, Mechanicville Senior Citizens and a long time volunteer for the areas Meals on Wheels program.

A diehard NY Yankee and Dallas Cowboy fan, Betty also enjoyed pokeno, bingo, bocce ball, cards, cooking and baking. In her younger years, she was a member of the Women's Kegler's bowling league.

A caring person, Betty took care of many people in her life and established an enormous amount of friendships in the community. She will always be remembered for her beaming smile and infectious laugh, her humorous wit and upbeat sense of life.  She was a proud mother, grand and great grandmother who always put her family above all else.

Something Betty would often proudly say was, "I was an only child, but was fortunate to have married into the large DeCelle family.  I have the BEST in-laws."

Sadly, Betty was predeceased by her husband Leon "Frog" DeCelle, who died in 1979.

Survivors include her children: Dawn(Jim) LeClair of Ballston Spa, Doreen(Anthony) DeCrescenzo of Mechanicville and Daniel "Peals"(Jill) DeCelle of Stillwater; grandchildren Janine Iamunno, Vincent(Candace Wallace) Iamunno, Nicole(Adam Suslak) DeCrescenzo, Dean(Jennifer) DeCrescenzo, Aaron and Sean DeScisciolo, and Samantha DeCelle.  She was the proud great grandmother of Talia Suslak and Aleena DeCelle, step-sister of Joan Palmieri and lifelong best friend of Helen Blowers.  She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as an abundance of caring friends she gained through her kindness over the years.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11AM at All Saints on the Hudson South Church, 121 North Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118 with burial to follow in St. Paul's Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held at the CHURCH on Wednesday from 3-7 PM.

Those wishing to remember Betty in a special way, in lieu of flowers, are asked to make donations to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 in loving memory of Elizabeth "Betty" DeCelle.

H.O.P.E. Pets for Adoption

imageBentley is a 3-year old neutered male Pomeranian, who is up to date on his shots and micro-chipped. He likes to ride in the car and is good with older children and other small dogs, though he does not seem to be fond of cats. Bentley is house trained and walks well on a leash but deserves to have a fenced in yard all his own to run and play in. Bentley is a sweet little guy who  would make a perfect companion!

Brady is an active 3-year old neutered male Border Collie/Lab mix, who is up to date on his shots and micro-chipped. He is a very loving and loyal dog who needs room to run. Brady is house trained and if you place a small bell on the door, he will ring it when he needs to go out! He is good with kids and dogs and is crate trained. Brady is a happy boy and would make a great addition to your family!

Fancy is just that: a fancy three month old tortoiseshell kitten! After playtime, she enjoys sleeping on your lap or watching football from her own comfortable chair. She looks forward to mealtime and enjoys her favorite treats: oyster crackers, potato chips and muffins (crumbs). Her foster mom frequently finds her warming her paws on the baseboard heaters. Fancy just likes to be warm and cuddly whenever she can! Fancy is spayed and up to date on her shots.

Dolly is a sweet demure three month old tortoiseshell kitten. Being in a family with seven sisters, (see Fancy above) you'll usually find Dolly seeking some alone time and she often prefers to eat her meals by herself. However, she is quite the talker and has no problem letting you know when she wants company, meowing for you to pick her up or to take a moment to pet her. Like Fancy, she enjoys warming her paws on the baseboard heaters which seems to give her energy to play with the other cats and stalk the dog. Dolly is spayed and up to date on her shots.
