MECHANICVILLE - Jeanne E. Tarsa, 87, died on February 8, 2016  after a brief illness.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 AM at All Saints on the Hudson South Church 121 No. Main Street, Mechanicville.  Burial will immediately follow in St. Paul's Cemetery, Mechanicville.  Calling hours  for relatives and friends will be from 4 - 7PM on Wednesday at the No. Main St. Church.

Joseph Earl Hurd – 51

MECHANICVILLE - Joseph Earl Hurd of East Street passed away on Monday, February 1, 2016 at his residence with his loving family at his side. He was 51.

Relatives and friends may call from 3-6pm on Friday, February 5, 2016 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. A memorial service will follow at 6pm in the funeral home.

Dan Pickett Honored – by Sandy McBride

   Us old-time Red Raider basketball fans still remember going to games five and a half decades ago when a sharp-shooting guard named Dan Pickett was racking up the points on driving layups, quick jump shots and long-range bombs.  In his three year varsity career from 1958 through 1961, he was always one of the top scorers on his team.

MECHANICVILLE – Daniel G. “Boomer” Baisley, 86, of Brickyard Road, died Fridaymorning, Jan. 29th at St. Mary’s Hospital, Troy.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday at 5 PM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville.  Calling hours at Funeral Home precede from 2-5 PM.

Burial services with military honors will be held on Monday at 10 AM at the SaratogaNational Cemetery.  Attendees are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:45 AM.
