MECHANICVILLE – Albert “Chach” Luciano, 86, native and lifelong resident of Mechanicville, died Wednesday evening atSamaritan Hospital, Troy after a lengthy illness. Born Aug 5th, 1931, son of Carmen and Mary Luciano,
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 4 PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville, with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Calling hours at the Funeral Home Saturday from 2-4 PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Italian Fraternal Society, 38 Viall Ave, Mechanicville, 12118 in memory of Albert “Chach” Luciano.

Arrests in Mechanicville Shooting
Mechanicville August 10- Joseph Broscko, 16, and Nikolai Mavashev, 19, were arrested for the murder of David Feliciano. He was killed on Monday night, August 7th, at 8:45 PM at his residence at 44 Grove St. in Mechanicville.
Both defendants appeared this morning in Mechanicville City Court and were charged with murder in the 2nd degree. They are held without bail for an arraignment hearing to be held on August 15 at 1 PM.
Saratoga County District Attorney was present. She explained that due to the severity of the crime Broscko’s name was both released despite his age and he will be tried as an adult.
At the Wednesday Aug. 9th City Council Meeting - Mayor Baker announced that the Boil Water Order in the City of Mechanicville will continue for (1) more week. The NYS Dept. of Health will continue to monitor the water on a daily bases.
Mechanicville August 9th- Mechanicville Police Chief Joseph Waldron urged citizens to cooperate with the police in its investigation into the death of David Feliciano. He said, “every little bit helps.” Anyone who knows anything or know someone who may know something is urged to communicate with the police.
Waldron cautioned people to beware of false information, He noted that reports said that Feliciano was shot in the driveway at 42-44 Grove St. That was not true, Waldron said. He was shot inside the home; he fled and fell outside.
Waldron stated that this was not a random assault. The victim was targeted.
