STILLWATER – The Stillwater United Church held a special congregational meeting on January 31 for the purpose of hearing and acting upon the final report of the Pastor Nominating Committee. The result was unanimous…Rachel Paige Mastin will now serve as the church’s official pastor.

STILLWATER - After nine years of service, Stillwater High School Principal Mario Fernandez is leaving the district on February 5 to take on another leadership position for Poughkeepsie City School District. The board of education accepted his resignation at a special meeting on January 12.

Death Wish Coffee Wins Contest – by V. Gallagher

ROUND LAKE - Even though Super Bowl 50 isn’t even here yet…one local company has already scored big in the game. ”Death Wish Coffee” competed against other small businesses and ultimately won a 30-second spot to air during the third quarter of the big game. It’s part of Intuit’s “Small Business, Big Games” contest this year.

Waterford & Saratoga Catholic Join Wasaren League – by V. Gallagher

WATERFORD - The Waterford-Halfmoon Union Free School District will be joining the Wasaren Sports League beginning in the 2016-2017 school year.  The district was invited to consider joining the Wasaren League several months ago and it was made official at the January 7, 2016 Board of Education meeting.

SCHUYLERVILLE NOVEMBER  Hundreds gathered\'a0 together at the Schuylerville High School auditorium on Tuesday\'a0 to witness the unveiling of the new Saratoga National Historical Park quarter. Barbara Fox, who worked with the Artistic Infusion program in conjunction with the U.S Mint, was chosen as the official artist.
