MECHANICVILLE – James H. Rose, Sr, died Friday on his birthday August 2nd after an extended illness.  Born in Troy, Aug 2, 1941, son of the late Henry and Emma Stockwell Rose, Sr, Jim had worked for the Freihoffer Baking Co, in Albany for 40 years before retiring a decade ago.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7 PM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville,

Calling hours at the Funeral Home from 5-7 PM Tuesday.

Mrs. Carmela Montarello - 96

TROY – Mrs. Carmela Montarello, 96, died Wednesday morning, July 24th at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, after a brief illness.

Born in Mechanicville, April 9, 1923, daughter of the late Frank and Laura DePaul, she grew up and was educated in the local school district.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 No. Main St., Mechanicville, with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.  Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St, Mechanicville on Friday evening from 4 – 7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Community Hospice in loving memory of Carmela Montarello.

MECHANICVILLE – Thomas S. Ryan, 91, of Mechanicville passed away peacefully on July 20, 2019 at Eddy Village Green, Cohoes.

MECHANICVILLE – Elizabeth M. “Betty” Whalen, 76, died Sunday, July 21st, at her sister’s home, after an extended illness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 25th at 11AM at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 North Main St, Mechanicville, with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.  A gathering of family and friends will be held at All Saints on the Hudson Church, prior to the mass from 10-11AM.

US Air Force Tech Sergeant (Retired) Hilma Elwell Wolf – 65

MECHANICVILLE – US Air Force Tech Sergeant (Retired) Hilma Elwell Wolf, 65, of Shelby Township, Michigan, died Thursday June 27th in Michigan.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 13th from 2-4 PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville. Hilma will be interred with military honors at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly Michigan.

Remembrances may be made to any Veteran’s benefit organizations in memory of Hilma Elwell Wolf.
