Michael D. DiNallo, Jr. (a.k.a. “Shorty”) – 83

MECHANICVILLE - Michael D. DiNallo, Jr. (a.k.a. “Shorty”), a life-long resident of Mechanicville, passed away in the loving arms of his family on Tuesday, May 7th after being stricken at his home.  He was 83.

Born September 29th, 1935 to Michael and Anna Parente DiNallo, Mike attended Mechanicville Elementary / High School and graduated from Utica Tech College.  He married the love of his life – Patricia Greenwood – on June 1st, 1958.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday May 13th at 9:00 am at All Saints on the Hudson Roman Catholic Church, 121 No. Main Street in Mechanicville, with military honors and burial in Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the CHURCH on Sunday from 2-5 pm.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hillcrest Fire Department or St Jude       Children’s Research Hospital in loving memory of Michael DiNallo.

CLIFTON PARK – Anthony N. Roman, 35, of Pine Ridge II, died Saturday May 4th in Schenectady.  Born in Albany, son of the late George and Jane Kearney Roman.

MECHANICVILLE – Helen Pizen Blowers, 89, a long term resident of Mechanicville,  died Monday, May 6th at Home of the Good Shepherd, Saratoga Springs, after an extended illness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday  at  10 AM at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 North Main St, Mechanicville, with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville on Thursday from 4-7 PM.

MECHANICVILLE – Kathleen Pruyn Salvadore, 73, former resident of Mechanicville, died unexpectedly at her home in Easton, Pa., Saturday, May 4th.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 4 PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville, with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Catherine L. “Nonie” Strubel – 89

MECHANICVILLE – Catherine L. “Nonie” Strubel, 89, of West St, died peacefully on Friday, May 3rd at Schuyler Ridge Nursing Home, with her loving family at her side.  Born in Mechanicville on April 14, 1930, daughter of the late John and Emma Adams Garland, she was a 1948 graduate of Mechanicville High School.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 3 - 6:30PM at St. Luke’s on the Hill, 40 McBride Rd, Mechanicville, NY 12118.  A mass will follow at the church beginning at approximately 6:45PM.  Burial in the Hudson View Cemetery will be held on Tuesday at 10AM.

MECHANICVILLE - Linda D. Aalto, 76, of Raylinsky Lane, passed away after complications due to surgery on Thursday, May 02, 2019, at St Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY.  Linda was born March 2, 1943, in Troy, NY, daughter of the late Walter "Coby" and Anelia Weir Roman.

Lawrence D. Marshall – 87

HALFMOON –  Lawrence D. Marshall, 87, of Vosburgh Rd, died on April 30th at Saratoga Hospital, surrounded by his loving family, after a short illness.  Born in Stillwater, on August 6, 1931, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Marshall.

 

Calling hours will be held on Sunday afternoon from 1-4PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118 with a funeral home service to follow beginning at 4PM.

Military honors and burial will be held at NOON on Monday, May 6th at the Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871.  Those wishing to attend are asked to be at the visitor’s center at 11:45AM.
