WORCESTER, MA (04/27/2016)-- Kimberlee Kocienski has earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5/4.0 scale after the 2015 fall semester, achieved second year academic status, and been a member of a spring varsity team for the entire season.

Full-time students at Farmingdale State College who obtain a grade point average of 3.30 or better are recognized through inclusion on the Dean's List. MECHANICVILLE - Daniel A. Chevalier of Camber Court passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was 55.   Relatives and friends may call from 4-7:00pm on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 729 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater. Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 9:30am in the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.

Michael J. Hanehan, Sr. - 84

STILLWATER – Michael J. Hanehan, Sr., 84, passed away in the early morning hours of Friday, April 29th, in the comfort of his home.   A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 2nd at Noon at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 895 Hudson Ave., Stillwater.  Burial with military honors in Stillwater Union Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

MECHANICVILLE, NY - Mrs. Mary Larkin Carriero, 91, native and longtime resident of Mechanicville and also a resident of Naples, Florida, died Thursday, April 14th at her Naples home, after an brief illness.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Apr. 30th at Noon at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 No. Main St., Mechanicville.

Pipeline Project Suspended in Rensselaer County – by C. Barton

On April 20th Kinder Morgan released a statement announcing that, “ Kinder Morgan Inc. and its subsidiary, Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company (TGP) have suspended further work and expenditures on the Northeast Energy Direct (NED) project. “ In part, the statement reads that, “this decision was “as a result of inadequate capacity commitments from prospective customers.” The statement included several other factors that led to the suspension of the project.

Mechanicville Housing Authority Audit Results

The Office of the New State Comptroller examined the internal controls of the Mechanicville Housing Authority’s handling of tenant rents for period covering October 1, 2013 – July 31, 2015. The State Comptroller found no discrepancies and that the Authority has adequate controls over the collection of tenant rent payments.
