John “Jack” Peter Dyer - 74

STILLWATER - John "Jack" Peter Dyer of Graves Road passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, October 19, 2013. He was 74.

Relatives and friends may call from 4-8pm on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. Funeral Mass will be conducted on Thursday at All Saints on the Hudson, South Church 121 North Main Street, Mechanicville. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Stillwater.  In lieu of flowers, kindly consider donations to the Stillwater Ambulance Fund or the John Ahearn Rescue Squad in memory of Jack.

STILLWATER, October 14 --The Stillwater Town Board is looking for a few ... more ... good men – and women, to make the revival of Brown’s Beach the community’s accomplishment, says Town Supervisor Edward Kinowski. He envisions the same kind of effort that went far toward the creation of Hollow Town Park, where citizens made new things happen.

Pamela May (Kipp) Gailor – 45

STILLWATER - Pamela May (Kipp) Gailor passed away  suddenly at her home on Friday, October 11, 2013 . She was 45.

Born on April 16, 1968, she was the daughter of Marvin B. Kipp and the late Hazel (Russell) Kipp of Stillwater.

Pam was a 1986 graduate of Stillwater High School. She lived in and around the area for many years. She was employed in many area restaurants. Pam enjoyed everything in nature and all living things. Above all she enjoyed the love of her daughter who was always there for her.

In addition to her father Marvin B. Kipp she is survived by her daughter, Cassandra Gailor of Mechanicville, her companion Barry Gronczniak, her brother Rick Pine of Schenectady, her first husband and long time friend Victor Gailor of Mechanicville and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Pam is predeceased by her mother Hazel Kipp and her brother, Marvin Kipp, Jr.

Relatives and friends may call from 5-7pm on Tuesday, October 15 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. Funeral service will follow at 7pm in the funeral home.

Maureen J. “Deni” Patenaude – 78

STILLWATER – Maureen J. “Deni” Patenaude, 78, of Neilson Ave., died Wednesday evening, Oct. 9th, at home, after an extended illness, in the loving company of her family.

Born in Mechanicville, April 1, 1935, daughter of the late Philip and Jane Montgomery Walsh, Deni graduated from Stillwater High School in 1953.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 2 PM at All Saints on the Hudson South Church, 121 No. Main St., Mechanicville. Burial in Saratoga National Cemetery.

Calling hours at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. The Stillwater Town Board on this date adopted, after a final hearing with few present, zoning changes in the works for several months.

"Zoning is important, from many aspects," began Supervisor Edward Kinowski.  "A lot of people just skip by when they hear ‘new zoning map,' without recognizing what it potentially can do for their property -- and it's all about what they can do on the property," whether restricting  or expanding or otherwise adding specific purposes  to its further use in some cases.

STILLWATER - Thomas Dennis Canary, Jr. passed away Monday, September 23, 2013 at The Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. He was 70.

     Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 7pm Thursday, September 26, 2013 at  All Saints on the Hudson North Church, (St. Peter's), 881 Hudson Avenue, Stillwater.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Friday, September 27, 2013 at All Saints on the Hudson North Church. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Peter's Cemetery, Stillwater.
