Local Students Named to the Spring 2016 Dean's List at The College of Saint Rose

ALBANY, NY (07/07/2016)-- The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York, today announced that 721 students have been named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2016 semester.

Full-time students who complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and achieve a semester grade-point average of at least 3.5 with no grades of D, F, Incomplete or Pass/Fail are eligible for the Dean's List.

MECHANICVILLE - Tessie A. Tarsa, 90, of Mechanicville died peacefully at her home on July 3, 2016.  She was born on October 30, 1925 in Easton, NY and was the daughter of the late John and Katherine (Magatz) Tarsa.

Stillwater Police arrested Robin A. McCarthy (age 55) of Ballston Spa and charged her with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended registration (misdemeanor) following a vehicle stop on Route 67. She was processed and released pending prosecution in Stillwater Town Court. The arrest was handled by Ptl. Alex Dunn.

Stillwater Police arrested Rik S. Seiler (age 38) of Johnsonville and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration (misdemeanor) and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle 3rd degree (misdemeanor) following a vehicle stop on Route 76. He was processed and released pending prosecution in Stillwater Town Court. The arrest was handled by Ptl. Tom Sawyer.

FELONY Arrest

6/25/16

Stillwater Police arrested Justin A. Miller (age 24) on an Arrest Warrant charging him with 2 counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (Felony) and 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree (Felony) following a Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office investigation in which it was determined that the defendant sold heroin in the Village of Stillwater. He was turned over to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

The defendant was later arraigned in Stillwater Town Court and sent to Saratoga County Jail with $40,000.00 bail bond. The arrest was handled by 1st Sgt. Ray Cordani.

Students Earn Degrees from the University of Vermont

Nancy C. Caswell – 68

STILLWATER – Nancy C. Caswell (nee Notro), 68, of Stillwater, formerly of Albany and a Mechanicville High School graduate, died peacefully at her home on June 23rd.
