William Frederick Wheelock - 91
SHAGHTICOKE - William Frederick Wheelock of North Washington Avenue passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017. He was 91.
Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00am on Monday, August 14th at the Presbyterian United Church, 165 Main Street, Schaghticoke, NY 12154. Burial with military honors will be at the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Arrangements by Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, Schaghticoke.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 4 PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville, with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Calling hours at the Funeral Home Saturday from 2-4 PM.

Arrest Made in Mechanicville Murder
Arrests in Mechanicville Shooting
Mechanicville August 10- Joseph Broscko, 16, and Nikolai Mavashev, 19, were arrested for the murder of David Feliciano. He was killed on Monday night, August 7th, at 8:45 PM at his residence at 44 Grove St. in Mechanicville.
Both defendants appeared this morning in Mechanicville City Court and were charged with murder in the 2nd degree. They are held without bail for an arraignment hearing to be held on August 15 at 1 PM.
Saratoga County District Attorney was present. She explained that due to the severity of the crime Broscko’s name was both released despite his age and he will be tried as an adult.
Mechanicville – Boil Water Order for (1) More Week
At the Wednesday Aug. 9th City Council Meeting - Mayor Baker announced that the Boil Water Order in the City of Mechanicville will continue for (1) more week. The NYS Dept. of Health will continue to monitor the water on a daily bases.
Police Chief Joseph Waldron – Investigation
Mechanicville August 9th- Mechanicville Police Chief Joseph Waldron urged citizens to cooperate with the police in its investigation into the death of David Feliciano. He said, “every little bit helps.” Anyone who knows anything or know someone who may know something is urged to communicate with the police.
Waldron cautioned people to beware of false information, He noted that reports said that Feliciano was shot in the driveway at 42-44 Grove St. That was not true, Waldron said. He was shot inside the home; he fled and fell outside.
Waldron stated that this was not a random assault. The victim was targeted.
Mrs. Estelle Larios
MECHANICVILLE – Mrs. Estelle Larios, 88, former resident ofPlattsburgh, died Saturday evening, after a lengthy illness.
A Funeral will be held on Monday, August 14th at 10 AM at St. Basil’s Greek Orthodox Church, 909 River St., Troy. Church will be open for a short visitation from 9 AM Monday until start of Funeral Service.
Calling hours for family and friends on Sunday from 3-6 PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville.
Interment to follow Monday afternoon in Riverside Cemetery in Plattsburgh.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to either St. Basil’s Church or Alzheimer’s Assoc, in loving memory of Estelle Larios.
