Mechanicville – Donald F. “Ducky” Coon, 69, died Friday, Apr. 12th at Saratoga Hospital, after a brief illness.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 - 7 PM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville, with a Funeral Service to follow at 7 PM.

Harry R. Crandall – 84
STILLWATER - Harry R. Crandall passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at his home following a long illness. He was 84.
Relatives and friends were welcomed from 9-11:00am on Friday, April 5, 2019 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. A funeral service was conducted at 11:00am by Rev. Michael Crandall, pastor of Stillwater Christian Fellowship. Burial was in the family plot in Stillwater Union Cemetery.

David L. Ferris passed away April 9, 2019 at the Saratoga Center for Rehab and Skilled Nursing in Ballston Spa, NY from complications of diabetes.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 4-7 p.m. at Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Ave., Mechanicville, NY with funeral service on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be at Stillwater Union Cemetery, Hudson Ave., Stillwater, NY following the service.

Carmela Anna Smialek – 91
MECHANICVILLE – Carmela Anna Smialek, 91, of Mid-Rise Apts, died peacefully on April 3, 2019 at Wesley Health Care Center, following a brief illness. Born in Mechanicville on October 29, 1927, she was the daughter of Charles and Philomena Mastropietro and wife of the late Edward J. Smialek.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY12118 with a funeral home service to follow beginning at 7PM. Interment at the Saratoga National Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Carmela A. Smialek to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

James “Mike” White
James ‘Mike’ White quietly passed away on March 28, 2019. He spent his childhood in Mechanicville and lived for several decades in the Albany / Troy area.

Catherine Ann DeSorbe – 76
MECHANICVILLE – Catherine Ann DeSorbe, 76, of Ellsworth Ave, died suddenly on March 27th at Albany Medical Center as a result of complications from heart surgery.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 6th at 10AM at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 N Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118. There will be no calling hours. Urn interment will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Senior Chief Petty Officer, U.S. Retired Terry L. Gilmore – 77
SAVANNAH, GA – Senior Chief Petty Officer, U.S. Navy Retired Terry L. Gilmore, 77, of Savannah passed away on Tuesday morning, March 26, 2019. A native of Mechanicville, New York, Mr. Gilmore was the son of the late Joseph John Gilmore and Mary Juanita Ascenzi.
Interment services will be at a future date in the Saratoga National Cemetery.
