08/24/15
Stillwater Police arrested Tracy L. Russom (age 48) on a Stillwater Town Court Bench warrant for a probation violation after she was located in Troy by bail bond agents. She was arraigned in Stillwater Town Court and sent to Saratoga County Jail with $40,000.00 bail bond. Several additional warrants from area police agencies were also lodged against the defendant. The arrest was handled by Ptl. Sean Lyons.

Stillwater Police arrested Nicholas P. Travis (agw31) of Clifton Park and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration (misdemeanor) following a vehicle stop on Tow Path Road. He was processed and released to appear in Stillwater Town Court. The arrest was handled by Ptl. Sean Lyons.

Stillwater Police arrested John E. Bonoski (age 33) of Cohoes and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended Registration (misdemeanor) following a vehicle stop on County Route 75. He was processed and released to appear in Stillwater Town Court. The arrest was handled by Ptl. Sean Lyons.

Stillwater Police arrested Danielle C. Nelson (age 51) of Albany and charged her with 2 counts of Hindering Prosecution 3rd degree (misdemeanor) following an investigation. The investigation began after the defendant’s sister (Johnette Nelson) impersonated her during a vehicle stop in Stillwater in April 2015 and subsequently continued to impersonate her during 2 court dates by signing her sister’s name on court documents. This was done to conceal a revoked license and for being on probation in Albany County. Johnette Nelson was arrested on 8/15/15 for felony fraud and is currently being held without bail in Saratoga County Jail.
It was discovered during the investigation that Danielle Nelson knowingly and willing drove her sister to Stillwater Town Court on 2 occasions for the purpose of allowing her to continue to impersonate her on court documents. The defendant’s actions rendering criminal assistance to a person who was committing a felony.
The defendant was processed and released with an appearance ticket for Stillwater Town Court.
The investigation was handled by 1st Sgt. Ray Cordani.

For Tina Pugliese of Mechanicville, that good life scenario hit a massive speed bump on October 1, 2009 when she got the crushing news everyone dreads. She had cancer.
“I thought, oh my God, my kids are babies!” Tina said.

Saratoga County’s K9 Team – by H. Wessell
ALLSTON SPA, August 25 – The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office K-9 Division was started in 1979, under Sheriff James Bowen, with two dogs named Marcus and Phoenix. They were purchased from a trainer in Schenectady, and the handlers attended their training at his facility.
