Amie Marie Russell Walsh – 44

STILLWATER – Amie Marie Russell Walsh, 44, of Meehan Road, passed away with peace and grace July 22nd at Saratoga Hospital, with her loving family by her side.

Chester L. “Chet” Ciepiela – 81

MECHANICVILLE – Chester L. “Chet” Ciepiela, 81, of Johnson Rd., died peacefully at his residence July 21, 2012 after a brief illness.  Born on August 6, 1934 in Halfmoon, NY, he was the son of the late Ludwig and Sophie Skalak Ciepiela.

 

Calling Hours will be Wednesday July 27th from 9-11AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2001 Route 9, Round Lake, NY 12151.  At 11AM, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with burial to follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Mechanicville.

Nicholas A. Hunter – 41

 

MECHANICVILLE-   Nicholas A. Hunter, 41, was called home by the Lord, Thursday, July 21st from St. Peter’s Hospice Inn, Albany, after a 10 year struggle with colon and later liver cancer.  Nick never lost faith, hope or the will to live, fought every battle he faced, went through the highs and lows of good and poor health, and never gave up. On Thursday morning, the Lord said “enough” and rewarded Nick with eternal life.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday at  1 PM at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 North Main St., and Mechanicville.  Burial in Hudson View Cemetery.

Calling hours at the North Main St. church on Sunday from 3-6 PM.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to NYOH Community Cancer Foundation, Community Hospice of Saratoga or Hospice Inn of St. Peter’s Hospital.

David O. Saunders – 68

MECHANICVILLE - David O. Saunders, 68, longtime resident of Farm to Market Road, died at his Argyle, NY home Wednesday evening , July 20th, in the loving company of his family.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM at the Mechanicville United Methodist Church , No. Main St. , Mechanicville.  Burial with military honors at the Saratoga National Cemetery is scheduled for 12:00 PM.  All are welcome to attend a 1:00 PM reception at the Greenwich Elks Club on Route 40.

Kevin Albagli of Clifton Park Named to Dean's List at Lafayette College

EASTON, PA (07/19/2016)-- Kevin Albagli of Clifton Park (12065) has been named to the 2016 spring semester Dean's List at Lafayette College for outstanding academic achievement. To qualify for Dean's List, a student must achieve at least a 3.60 semester grade point average on a scale of 4.0.

Albagli is a graduate of Shenendehowa High School.

Joseph “Jake” Urkevich – 94

MECHANICVILLE – Joseph “Jake” Urkevich, 94, of West St., Riverside, died Sunday evening, July 17th at Barnwell Nursing Home, Valatie, after an extended illness.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville.  Burial with military honors to follow at the Saratoga National Cemetery.

Calling hours at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 4-7 PM.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to a charity of one’s choice in memory of Joseph “Jake” Urkevich.
