Schaghticoke Harvest Festival – by C. Barton

Schaghticoke- On Saturday September 26th from 12noon to 4pm the Hoosic Valley Community Partners and the Schaghticoke Entertainment Committee hosted the annual community Harvest Festival at the Schaghticoke Town Hall. This same gazebo only a few short weeks ago was the platform for the many  great bands that offered the community, “music in the open air,” with the Schaghticoke Summer Eve concerts.

Halfmoon Fall Festival – by M. LeMay

HALFMOON SEPTEMBER 19 - It was a beautiful breezy fall afternoon at the Halfmoon Town Park on Saturday, where the Halfmoon Celebrations Committee held their 7th Annual Fall Festival. Over forty five vendors and non for profit organizations filled the recreations building and the park grounds.

Diver Library Welcomes New Staff – by Christine Barton

Their story was published in the October 2nd edition of the Express.  As promised, the staff is hard at work planning new and exciting programs. The Diver Library is currently offering several fall programs that are open to the community.

Celebrations Committee Annual Fall Festival:
HALFMOON - It was a beautiful, but breezy fall afternoon at the Halfmoon Town Park on Saturday, were the Halfmoon Celebrations Committee held its 6th Annual Fall Festival. More than 30 organizations, town councilmen, businesses and fire departments kicked of the celebrations with a parade down RT. 236 starting at Knox Woods and ending in the Town Park. The Halfmoon Celebrations committee this year went with the Wizard of Oz theme; it was a big hit with the kids and helping doing a little sing along to get the crowd into was done by The Clifton Park Halfmoon Fire Department’s Chief Arthur Hunsinger. Grand Marshal this year was Norma Morris life-long resident and supporter of the Town of Halfmoon.
