In the wee, small hours of November 11, 1918, in a railroad car on a siding in the Compiegne Forest in France, about 40 miles north of Paris, representatives of the warring factions in World War I concluded three days of negotiations and signed an agreement to bring an end to four years of bloody war. Fighting would cease at 11 a.m. French time on that morning. . . the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.

Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office – Car vs. Bicyclist

BALLSTON - The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a car vs. bicyclist accident that occurred on Rte 50 in the Town of Ballston at approximately 3:00 PM

A bicyclist was travelling south on Rte 50 when he attempted cross Rte 50 and

struck a vehicle travelling northbound (2003 Mercedes Benz) driven by Nathan R.

Saiz of Malta. He was ejected off of his bicycle and was thrown approximately 15

feet. He was not wearing a helmet.

The bicyclist was transported to Albany Medical Center by Community Corps

Ambulance where he is presently being treated for his injuries, he is expected to

MECHANICVILLE, May 14 -Bailey Wind has a message to everyone, especially fellow young people, that she's been delivering in compelling personal testimonies this summer. Home from her first year of college she has something two dear friends will never have.
Bailey has made a PowerPoint slide presentation for the prom season , one that applies to all ages. This was prepared in Spring as part of her Public Speaking course as a freshman Communications major at the University of Tennessee. It was from an idea to support Saratoga County Sheriffs in their annual stepped up efforts to promote a safe prom season.
