TOWN OF STILLWATER, March 3 – The long-discussed, North-South trail system in the Town of Stillwater should become a reality within this year. The Town Board study initiated in 2011, aimed to add segments to the Town’s own trail system; which in the process would help toward the finalization of a Champlain Canal Trailway.

Under the change to the City Charter the position or positions would be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Mayor. Dennis Baker said at the meeting that the other departments have control of their own deputies.

Your children don’t say “Hey Mom thanks for buying this from the grocery store for me. Instead they say, “There is nothing to eat in this house.”

MECHANICVILLE – Mrs. Lucille Bisson Acerra, 87, of South Third Ave., died Saturday March 5th at Samaritan Hospital, Troy after a short illness.

STILLWATER FEBRUARY 27– Mayor Rick Nelson, members of the village and town board, and local officials gathered together on February 28 for a ceremonial ribbon cutting to welcome Elite Training to the community. Located at 751 Hudson Avenue, Elite Training is a new fitness center focusing on overall strength and conditioning. However, as owner Juan Garzon explained, his goal is to make it more than just a place to lift weights.
