Vincent “Fundi” Fondano – 85

MECHANICVILLE – Vincent “Fundi” Fondano, 85, of Chestnut St, died peacefully on May 28, 2019 at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center, in the loving company of his family.  Born in Mechanicville on June 11, 1933, he was the son of the late Pietro and Angelina Castaldo Fondano.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118.  A Funeral Home Service will be held following the calling hours, beginning at 7PM. Burial at the Saratoga National Cemetery will be Tuesday at 10AM. Those wishing to attend are asked to arrive and wait at the visitor center at 9:45AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 1430, Cincinnati, OH  45250-0301 may be made in memory of Vincent P. Fondano.

Walter Ray Tillapaugh “Uncle Walt”

MELBOURNE - It is with great sadness that the family of Walter Tillapaugh known to many as “Uncle Walt”, passed away on May 19, 2019 at the age of 79 years in Melbourne Florida.

A native of Stillwater, Walt was a lifetime member/volunteer fire fighter with the Arvin Hart Fire Department, and worked for Bud Doughty Sanitation in Stillwater for many years until he moved to Florida in 1993.

Services were held at St. Sebastian’s by the Sea in Melbourne Beach Florida & The Presbyterian Church in Schaghticoke.

STILLWATER – Alexander O’Connor Ryan, 22, former resident of Stillwater, died suddenly on May 12th from complications due to a heat related illness while attending a concert in Miami, FL.

Family and friends are invited to visit with the family at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY on Wednesday, May 29th from 4-7PM.  A funeral mass will be conducted at 10:30AM on Thursday the 30th  at St. Luke’s on the Hill Church, 40 McBride Road, Mechanicville, NY 12118 with inurnment to follow at the Saratoga National Cemetery.

In trying to honor Alex and do what he would like best, his family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204 in his memory.

David J. Bova II – 41

NEW YORK CITY - David J. Bova II, a Wig, Hair, and Make-up designer passed away suddenly on May 7, 2019, at the age of 41.

There will be a celebration of life for David on Saturday, June 8th, at 1:00pm, at the American Legion, 81 E Main St, Mechanicville, NY.

David was extremely passionate for the American Cancer Society as well as the Gay Men’s Health Crisis Organization (GMAC), so in lieu of flowers please donate to those causes.

CLIFTON PARK – Lisa Barbolt Prosser, 59, died Saturday, May 4th at home, in the loving company of her family, after a brief illness.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 17th at 6 PM at Grace Fellowship of Halfmoon, 1 Enterprise Ave, Clifton Park.

Joanne (Reed) Golden – 88

MECHANICVILLE - Joanne (Reed) Golden, 88, has joined the love of her life, her husband Jim, in eternal peace.  She passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 9 at the Glendale Nursing Home.  Joanne Reed was born on October 25, 1930 in Portland, Maine to Hazel and Charles Reed.

Family and friends are invited to visit with the family at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY on Friday, May 17th from 4-7PM.  A funeral mass will be conducted at 1:30PM at All Saints on the Hudson Church on Saturday with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.

Michael D. DiNallo, Jr. (a.k.a. “Shorty”) – 83

MECHANICVILLE - Michael D. DiNallo, Jr. (a.k.a. “Shorty”), a life-long resident of Mechanicville, passed away in the loving arms of his family on Tuesday, May 7th after being stricken at his home.  He was 83.

Born September 29th, 1935 to Michael and Anna Parente DiNallo, Mike attended Mechanicville Elementary / High School and graduated from Utica Tech College.  He married the love of his life – Patricia Greenwood – on June 1st, 1958.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday May 13th at 9:00 am at All Saints on the Hudson Roman Catholic Church, 121 No. Main Street in Mechanicville, with military honors and burial in Saratoga National Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the CHURCH on Sunday from 2-5 pm.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Hillcrest Fire Department or St Jude       Children’s Research Hospital in loving memory of Michael DiNallo.

CLIFTON PARK – Anthony N. Roman, 35, of Pine Ridge II, died Saturday May 4th in Schenectady.  Born in Albany, son of the late George and Jane Kearney Roman.
