MECHANICVILLE – Olive Joyce Sommer, 82, of South Second Avenue, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday August 30th, surrounded by her loving family.
A burial service for family and friends was held at the Saratoga National Cemetery on Friday September 2nd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Northeaster NY Chapter, 2 Pine West Plaza, Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205in loving memory of Olive J. Sommer.

MECHANICVILLE – John H. Kipp, 89, of Washington Ave., died Tuesday evening, Sept. 6th at Albany Medical Center, following an extended illness.

MECHANICVILLE – Mario A. Gaetano, Sr., 92, of Camber Court, died Tuesday, Sept. 6th, at Wesley Health Care in Saratoga Springs, after a long illness.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 11:30 AM at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 North Main St., Mechanicville, with military honors burial at Saratoga National Cemetery to follow. Calling hours at the North Main Street Church on Friday morning from 9 – 11 AM.

South Bethany, DE- Anthony (“Tony”) Michael Caputo of South Bethany, DE and Mechanicville, NY passed away at the age of 69 on Saturday, September 3, 2016 in his sleep after a 7 year battle with prostate cancer.
A viewing will be held at Melson’s Funeral Home at 38040 Muddy Neck Road, Ocean View, DE 19970 on Thursday September 8, 2016 at 1:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm.

MECHANICVILLE – Joseph Fitzpatrick, 84, of Lincoln St., Hemstreet Park, died at home Wednesday, August 31, after a brief illness. A 1950 graduate of Mechanicville High School, Joe was born on June 25, 1932, son of the late Arthur and Alice Green Fitzpatrick, Sr.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 1-3PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY with a service to follow at 3PM. Burial with Military honors will be Monday at 9AM at the Saratoga National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to be there at 8:45AM.
