MECHANICVILLE – Primar A. “Bunny” Palmer, 97, of Stillwater Ave., died Sunday, Jan 14th at Saratoga Hospital, after a brief illness.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 9:30 AM at All Saints on the Hudson North Church (St. Peter’s) 895 Hudson Ave, Stillwater. Burial with military honors to follow at Saratoga National cemetery.
Calling hours at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville on Wednesday from 3-6 PM.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to All Saints on Hudson Church Endowment Fund, in memory of Primar “Bunny” Palmer.

BENNINGTON, VT (01/10/2018)-- After a record-breaking performance, Southern Vermont College senior Michael Pierre (Melrose, NY) was named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending January 7, 2018 as announced by the league on Monday.
Nazareth College Announces Students on Fall 2017 Dean's List
ROCHESTER, NY (01/08/2018)-- Nazareth College is proud to announce that the following area students have been named to the dean's list for the Fall 2017 semester. A student's grade point average must be at least 3.5 or above, and they must complete 12 credit hours of graded work that semester in order to be included on the dean's list at Nazareth.

Alyssa Paul of Schaghticoke, N.Y., Tabbed as WPI Women's Student-Athlete of the Week
WORCESTER, MA (01/08/2018)-- Alyssa Paul of the basketball team has been tabbed as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 7th.
Paul was perfect in just 12 minutes in Saturday's win at Wheaton. The junior was 4-for-4 from the field, including 2-for-2 from downtown, and 2-for-2 at the charity stripe to average a point per minute. Paul is shooting 46.7 percent in a career-best eight games in 2017-18.

Peggy McGuire – 93
MECHANICVILLE – Peggy McGuire, 93, longtime resident of South Main Street, died peacefully at Schuyler Ridge Residential Health Center on Thursday January 11th.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 16th at 11AM at All Saints on the Hudson South Church, 121 N Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118 with burial to follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

MECHANICVILLE – Walter J. Ardziewicz, 64, of West St., a popular area amateur photographer, died suddenly at home early Tuesday morning, Jan 9th of natural causes.
