Grant’s Cottage State Historic Site on Mount McGregor, just a few miles north of Saratoga Springs, is a fascinating piece of history right here in our own back yard.  It is the site where Ulysses S. Grant, the 18^th president of the United States, spent the last 37 days of his life, dying from cancer just three days after completing his memoirs.
