Josephine DeMarco Russom – 99

MECHANICVILLE – Josephine DeMarco Russom, 99, died peacefully Tuesday at Maplewood Manor, just 7 months shy of her 100th Birthday. Born in Mechanicville, August 30, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucia DiNata DeMarco.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday at 3PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 South Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118 with burial to follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery. Calling hours Friday prior to the service from 12 – 3PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mechanicville-Stillwater Breast Cancer Walk, C/O Joyce DiVirgilio, 270 South Main Street, Mechanicville, NY 12118 in loving memory of Josephine Russom. Alexander N. Russom – 82

MECHANICVILLE – Alexander N. Russom, 82, of Stillwater Bridge Rd., died Sunday, November 4, at his home, with his loving family at his side.  Born in Round Lake, May 22, 1930, he was the son of the late Arthur and Mary Jane Ruddock Russom.

 A Mechanicville High School graduate, Mr. Russom joined the US Navy and had served aboard the USS Cogswell and USS Witek until his honorable discharge.  Alex was proud of his time served earning a rank of Machinist 2nd Class and often referred to his time served as being a “Tin Can Sailor.”
