MECHANICVILLE – Lorraine A. Salway Rubino, 75, of Railroad St., died Tuesday, Feb. 24th at home, in the loving company of her family.Calling hours will be held at All Saints on the Hudson Church, 121 N Main St., Mechanicville, on Thursday from 4-7PM.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM at the Church with entombment to follow in St. Paul’s Mausoleum.In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society or Community Hospice of Saratoga, in loving memory of Lorraine A. Rubino.

Daniel J. Rubino – 75

MECHANICVILLE – Daniel J. Rubino, 75, of Railroad St., died Monday, Nov. 18th at home, in the loving company of his family.

A native and lifelong resident of Mechanicville, born Oct. 19, 1938, son of the late John and Jennie D’Aloia Rubino, Dan was a 1956 graduate of Mechanicville High School.

The successful owner and operator of the former Rubino’s Pizzeria in Mechanicville beginning in 1984 until selling his business some of years ago.

Previously he had worked for the Norton Co. of Watervliet.

A faithful member of All Saints on the Hudson Church, he was a member of the church’s Holy Name Society.

A longtime member of the Mechanicville Fire Dept.’s Nielson Hose Co. #4, Dan and his family enjoyed traveling, stopping at the casinos, and enjoying life.

This past July, the Rubino family had a reunion which over 100 family members attended, and Dan was in his glory, having time with all his nieces and nephews.

Dan Rubino was family oriented, loved being with his wife, children, grandkids, siblings and their kids. Family and close friends made Dan’s life complete. 

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Lorraine Salway Rubino, three children: Joseph (Colleen) Rubino of Melrose, Lisa (Lou) Ethier of Farmington, Ct and Daniel (Julianne) Rubino, Jr. of Columbia, S.C.., 7 grand, 4 step-grand and 2 great grandchildren.

Siblings: Lucille Laurenzo and Joseph (Marguritte) Rubino all of Mechanicville, Barbara Zecca (Joseph) Corsale of Saratoga Springs, his twin sister Donna (Richard) Matroni of Cypress, Ca. and Joanne (Bruce) Cuilla of Raleigh, N.C., along with nieces, nephews and their families.  Also his canine companion “Bandit”. Dan was predeceased by his sister Angela McCauley.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Nov. 21st at 11 AM at All Saints on the Hudson SouthChurch, 121 No. Main St., Mechanicville.  Entombment in St. Paul’s Mausoleum.

Calling hours at the No. Main St. Church on Wednesday from 4-7 PM.
