Dress This House for the Mechanicville/Stillwater Breast Cancer Walk
Dear Resident,
We are contacting you in regards to the Mechanicville/Stillwater Mini-Walk for Breast Cancer. Our group hosts a 2 mile walk in Mechanicville in October, as well as other fundraisers throughout the year.
We were hoping houses and businesses throughout the City would consider entering our Dress this House for Breast Cancer contest to help us pursue our goals. All it involves is for you to decorate your home or business by Saturday, October7th at 5:00 PM in some way that shows your support for the fight against Breast Cancer.
We will give out 1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Awards
Winners will be notified by Amy Pickett and presented with their certificates that day if possible.
The money we raise is donated to the American Cancer Society, Saratoga Hospital Oncology Radiation Center and NYOH Foundation to help local families affected by Breast Cancer. In the past 8 years we have raised anywhere between $30,000.00 and $60,000.00 in annual contributions. We would like to meet or exceed that goal this year.
Below is the Walk Route for Sunday, October 8, 2017 @ 11:30 am.
Leave the Elks Club Park Avenue and proceed to 2nd Street. Turn right on 2nd Street, proceed to Depot Square and go down 3rd Street. Take a right on to Park Avenue, then left on 5th Street, go around Tallmadge Park and out on Spring Street, then a left on 3rd Street, right on to park Avenue returning to the Elks Club.
If you have any questions, please call Amy at 518-378-1799. We look forward to seeing you at our walk and thank you for your support.
