MECHANICVILLE – Miss Mary Fortune, former resident of Mechanicville, died Wed, Jan 3rd in Bethesda, Maryland, after a brief illness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 AM at All Saints on the Hudson Church (St. Paul’s), 121 North Main St., Mechanicville, with burial to follow in the family lot at St. Paul’s Cemetery.

A visitation will be held at All Saints Church on Friday from 9 – 10 AM.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to All Saints on the Hudson Church Endowment Fund, in fond memory of Mary Fortune.

Kenneth D. Patenaude, Jr. – 59

MECHANICVILLE – Kenneth D. Patenaude, Jr., 59, died Thursday, Jan 4th at St. Peter’s Hospital, after a brief illness.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 7 PM at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So. Main St., Mechanicville.

John J. Sylvester – 97

MECHANICVILLE – John J. Sylvester, 97, formerly of Saratoga Ave, died on New Years Eve at the Eddy Memorial in Troy, following a brief illness.  He was born in Mechanicville, June 10, 1920, son of the late Anthony and Anastacia Peluso Sylester.

WATERFORD – Marie K. DePaul, 83, of Birch Glen Drive, died Wednesday morning, January 3rd at her home, with her loving and faithful family at her side.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.  There will be no calling hours.

MECHANICVILLE – Tammi Young Winnie, of East Saratoga Avenue, died suddenly in her sleep while visiting her parents’ home in Schenectady on January 1, 2018.

Sherryl S. Rydinsky – 73

MECHANICVILLE – Sherryl S. Rydinsky, 73, of Riverside Park South, passed peacefully on Friday, Dec. 29th at Saratoga Hospital, after an extended illness.

Sherry wished that there would be no formal funeral or memorial. She would have appreciated knowing people gathered with Kin, Kith & Kids; enjoying a good meal and each other’s company, and that they worked actively on behalf of causes she cared about, including libraries/reading, women choice and community engagement.

Rita M. Wierzbowicz Wiers – 82

MECHANICVILLE – Rita M. (Wierzbowicz) Wiers, 82, of West St., Frog Island, died peacefully in her sleep on Christmas Eve night, in the comfort of her home.  Born at the family home on FrogIsland, December 29, 1934, she was the daughter of Bronislaw and Alexandria Wierzbowicz.
