Shawn M. Brehm – 53

MECHANICVILLE – Shawn M. Brehm, 53, died peacefully on Wednesday, Dec 26th at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn following a year long battle with Lymphoma.   Born in Albany on October 4, 1965, he was the son of Daniel Brehm of Mechanicville and the late Helen Bouck Brehm.

Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass at All Saints on the Hudson(St. Paul’s) Church, 121 N Main St, Mechanicville on Saturday, December 29th at 9AM.  There will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering  Cancer Center,P.O. Box 5028 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5028 to honor the support given to Shawn through his journey to defeat lymphoma.

Richard H. Wiley, Sr. – 85

Richard H. Wiley, Sr. - 85

MECHANICVILLE – Richard H. Wiley, Sr., 85 of Saratoga Ave., died Friday evening at Albany County Nursing Home, after a brief illness.  Native and lifelong resident of Mechanicville, son of the late Oliver and Ruth Wiley, Rich, also known as Buck, joined the US Army during the Korean War, and honorably discharged in 1955.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday Dec 27th at 7 PM at DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 So.Main St., Mechanicville.  Calling hours prior to the service from 4-7 PM at the Funeral Home.  Burial with military honors on Friday at 10 AM at Saratoga National Cemetery.

MECHANICVILLE – Edwin L. Gandron, 88, of River Road, Hemstreet Park, died Saturday, Dec. 15th at home, in the loving company of his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM  at All Saints on the Hudson Church, No. Main St., followed by burial with military honors at St. Pauls Cemetery.

Theresa DeMicco Ortega – 63

Port Orange, Fla – Theresa DeMicco Ortega, 63, former Mechanicville resident, died Saturday, Dec 1st, at Halifax Hospice facility in Port Orange, from breast cancer that first presented itself in 2015.

Memorial Services will be held in early May of 2019 in Mechanicville with burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Saratoga Springs.

STILLWATER – James G. Thomas, 82, of Claremont Rd, died peacefully in the comfort of his home on December 5th, with his loving and faithful wife Helen at his side.  Born in Waterford on August 28, 1936, he was the son of the late Russell and Christine Goldsmith Thomas.

Calling hours will be held at the DeVito-Salvadore Funeral Home, 39 S Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118 on Monday, Dec. 10th from 12 - 1:30PM with a service to begin at 1:30PM.  Full military honors and inurnment will follow at the Saratoga National Cemetery at 2:30PM.
