Angie01Sweet wonderful Angie! - She is a 18 month old Bulldog/Pocket Pit Mix. When we say wonderful we mean WONDERFUL! She was the star of our Woof-Stock event and loved everyone she met. She is good with other animals, children, loves car rides, and is so grateful that we rescued her from being euthanized. She has her shots, wormed, flea control, heart-worm tested and more. Please open your heart and home for this fabulous dog. oh...did we mention she is crate trained as well and loves to give kisses.
Ur Litter 03Ur Litter - Baby, Fern, Fiona and Peanut - These little sweeties are coming from a high kill shelter from the South. They were pulled by rescue and are now safe and headed North for their new lives. They are about 10-12 weeks old, vet checked, up to date on shots and wormed.
Ur Litter 03Jefferson Litter -  These precious kittens were found in a barn after their mother had been scared off. So now here they are. We have many, many kittens up for adoption. The Express Newspaper’s Pets for Adoption – June 11, 2015

Buster is a 2 year old Lab mix. He is neutered and up to date on shots. Buster is one very happy dog. Look at that smile! He has been in Doggie Day Care and has gotten along well with the other dogs that were attending. He loves to be around people. His goal in life is to make people HAPPY and he is very good at it!

Miss Stella is a rambunctious tortie kitten that is super entertaining. Stella is a bit of a talker - always chirping on about something. Stella likes to cuddle and sometimes snuggles deep under the covers at night to keep warm. She's full of energy but still well behaved. Stella was found abandoned with her mom at about 4 weeks old. Stella's mom has found a home and now it's Stella's turn. Stella loves other cats, is a bit feisty and is very petite for her age. She's never been around dogs but has a bold and friendly personality so she would likely adjust to any home. How could you resist this sweet face? Charlotte - This baby is a beautiful little Dachshund mix. She is learning to love car rides from her foster mom. She is about 5 Months old and weighs about 7 lbs. She is fully vetted, spayed and has 2 sets of shots. Her foster mom says "she is the sweetest little pup that I have ever seen. She loves to be held. unnamedAllison & Esmeralda - DOB 5-28-14. Weight 11 lbs, dachshund/beagle.  These two babies are about a year old and were rescued from a hoarding situation and went into one of our fosters. They are safe now , are very social and love attention. They do not have to go together and we would love to find them a forever home, as they deserve the very best. They have age appropriate shots, have been vet check and are ready to go. unnamed-1Marie - Lab mix - Meet Marie. She is a 4 month old Lab Pyrenees mix. She has bee microchipped, has all her shots and spayed. She is 90% house trained and walks well on a leash. She love other animals and kids and would make an outstanding addition to any family. She has been in foster for 2 months and is now ready to go into a furever home. Marie 01Cassie - Cassie came to us from a local kill shelter. She is beautiful and sweet. She is a little over a year old, spayed, up to date on vaccine and vet checked. Adirondack-Save-A-Stray Pets of the Week

Benelli02Maddy - Maddy is a female lab mix who is probably 4 - 5 months old. She was dropped off on a country dirt road 4 weeks ago. Luckily it was right near one of our rescue fosters. So she was able to get into safety She gets along great with other dogs and children. She has been dewormed and given first puppy vaccinations. Maddy has a sweet easygoing personality. She weighs about 25 lbs and will probably be around 40 lbs when grown. She will make a good family pet.
Maddy02 Benelli - This little guy ended up on death row of a high kill shelter. He was very depressed at being in the shelter until one of our rescue coordinators saw him and got him out. He is a little lover. He is a bulldog mix and about 14lbs at 12 weeks. He has been vetted and given his first shots and wormed. His foster mom says he is a sweetie and gets along with other dogs. He will make an excellent companion for some lucky family.
 Last of the Piggly Wiggly pups - These two are the last of the litter that were found at the Piggly Wiggly store down south. They were still at the spay/neuter clinic and are now coming up to find their forever homes. They are both beautiful and wonderful pups. They are about 14-16 weeks old, have been vet checked, up to date on shots and wormed. Adirondack Save-A-Stray Pets of the Week

Ginger : Chihuahua, 5 years old and she weighs 5 lbs. She was an owner surrender with her boyfriend Spud. They were brought in to the high kill shelter since living a a home since they were puppies. We pulled them immediately  to safety and brought in t o ASAS. They are Heart worm negative, fully vet checked, all shots and ready for their new home.

Spud : Yorkie mix, He is about 2-3 years old and weighs 8lbs. These babies will make wonderful companions to a warm and loving home. For more info please call the shelter at 518-654-6220 or just come to see all our furbabies.

Chris 5 puppies : This abandoned group of 5 Shep / Lab mixes were left at a high kill shelter and was scheduled for euthanasia. One of our rescue coordinators could not let that happen and took them into foster care. They are about 8-9 weeks old, have their first shots, health checked, wormed and more.

Collin01Collin - His best friend Mick found a home so now it is his turn. He had a very rough start to his life but now is his time. What a sweetie he is!! He is 4 months old, Black Lab mix, age appropriate shots, and the sweetest personality. He is great with kids and other animals and would love a home for the holidays. GSD PUP 01German Shepherd Puppies - These babies are may be pure breed shepherds. Mom was a smaller German shepherd(Mix?) and daddy was a pure breed German Shepherd that lived next door. The owner of the mother kept her but didn't want the pups so he gave them to the shelter down south. They are now about 9-10 weeks old up to date on shots and de-wormed. These are very handsome babies and will not last long. For more information please call the shelter to speak with one of our volunteers 518-654-6220.
Gypsy01Gypsy - Gypsy came in with her kittens when they were pulled from a local kill shelter. Her kitten are all safe and sound but she is still waiting for a home. She is a love bug and really just wants a warm place to curl up in and a nice lap to sit on. If you are looking for a very sweet baby girl then please come and meet Gypsy. 0-10-2Lab mix pups - Their are 8 to this litter with a couple of chocolates. These puppies are about 10 weeks old. Up to date on shots.
