The mission of Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD), according to the website, is to “provide students with the best prevention tools possible to deal with the issues of underage drinking, other drug use, risky and impaired driving, and other destructive decisions.” Hoosic Valley is among many schools in the nation that offers a Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD) chapter. Ray Payne, the SADD Advisor at Hoosic Valley is encouraging his students as well as the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders to get involved by sending a message of safety this year to those students attending the prom. “We hope it will have some impact on students to stay safe,” says Payne.
