REXFORD - David J. Valcik passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at his residence with his loving family at his side. He was 60.

 

Relatives and friends may call from 4-7:00pm on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Chase-Smith Family Funeral Homes, 319 Park Avenue, Mechanicville. Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday at 10:00am in the funeral home with burial in Hudson View Cemetery.

Jacob O’Shea OF Rexford NLEFCF Scholarship Recipient

REXFORD -  The National Law Enforcement & Firefighters Children’s Foundation (NLEAFCF) today announced Jacob O’Shea, of Rexford, NY, as a recipient of the NLEAFCF Scholarship. Jacob received the scholarship in recognition of his exceptional leadership, community service and scholastic achievement.

Jacob was one of 25 students from across the country to receive the award, which is based on academic merit and financial need. The recipients are all children of a law enforcement officer or firefighter who was killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty.

 

Mrs. Sheila A. Hughes – 77

REXFORD, NY - Mrs. Sheila A. Hughes, 77, of Coburg Village, and Syracuse area resident for most of her life, died unexpectedly, Sunday, Oct. 27th at her new, two month residence, of natural causes.  She lived on Altair Course in Liverpool for many years.

Sheila’s family invites all to a Memorial Service to be held at 1 PM on Friday, Nov. 1st at St. Matthew’s Church, 904 Vine St., Liverpool. Interment in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
