Stanley L. O’Kosky – 92

STILLWATER – Stanley L. O’Kosky, 92, former resident and businessman of Stillwater, died Tuesday, Nov. 19th at Bay State Medical Ctr., Springfield, Ma, after a brief illness.

A native of Stillwater, born Feb. 12, 1921, son of the late Joseph and Katherine O’Kosky.

The popular owner and operator of former Pat’s Submarines, corner of Lake and Hudson Ave., Stillwater.  Previously, Stan was a longtime salesman for the former Clements Motors of Mechanicville and later Country Pontiac, Buick of Clifton Park.  A veteran of WWII, serving as a Tech Sergeant in the US Army, he served in occupied Japan at the end of the War.  Stan enjoyed conversing with customers and friends, and enjoyed life.

His wife of 53 years, Corrinne “Connie” O’Kosky died Feb 21, 1997.  He was also predeceased by his sisters Mary Brown, Ann Whitman, Josephine and Helen O’Kosky, and brothers Andrew and Edward O’Kosky.  Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

 A Burial service with military honors will be held on Monday, Nov. 25th at 2 PM at the Saratoga National Cemetery, Duell Rd., Schuylerville.  There are no other services scheduled.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Saratoga National Cemetery Honor Guard,  200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville.
