Adirondack Save-A-Stray

Min pin mixes 02 Min pin mixes 01 Rose 01 Buddy MommyRose - She was brought in to the shelter as a stray. She became the shelter favorite and they just did not want her her put to sleep so they arrange for rescue to pull her. She is a pointer terrier mix about 9 months old. She has been vet check, is up to date on her vaccines and wormed. Please come and meet this really wonderful girl. For more info you are welcome to call the shelter at 518-654-6220.
Heather's puppies - These little cuties are Min pin and Dachshund mixes. They are not going to be very big. They were brought into rescue by their mothers owner because he wanted them safe. They have been in foster care for two weeks, vet checked vaccinated and wormed. These babies are around  7 weeks old. For more information please call the shelter at 518-654-6220 or come by to meet them.
Mommy(tiger) & Buddy(Bl & Wht) -This is one of those stories as to why we get angry. This woman moved September 1st and threw her cats out after raising them since they were kittens. We only got 2 and kind of demanded her to go back and find the third. We are updating them on vaccines, flea control, and rabies, but the thought of them having a home one day and not the next makes us cringe. We do not understand, but no matter they are safe now. We are getting overloaded again in our cat room so if someone is looking to adopt a new kitty then please consider coming to ASAS shelter. We want to get our numbers down so ALL OF OUR OLDER CATS ARE JUST A DONATION APPRECIATED. The phone calls will not stop with the oncoming cold weather and we need to make room. Please consider giving them a purrfect home.

The cat thing was a typo on our part. I just snatched the picture and text off of our Facebook page and did not read it first. My bad. I am so sorry if it created a problem for you.
Min Pin mix puppies - How cute are these little guys? They were an owner turn in to a very high kill shelter. They have all been vet checked, wormed and given shots. They have wonderful little personalities.
One of these babies would be perfect if you don't want a larger dog. For more information on these puppies please call the shelter at 518-654-6220.
Kirby Chihuahua mixes m- First pic is the girl. Second pic is the special needs boy. He's deaf and born with minor neurological problems and so will be adopted out as a special needs puppy. He has the best personality, in my opinion, and  LOVES cats!!! The third(black) is a little boy. They are all precious and have been vet checked, wormed and given first shots. For more information please call the shelter at 518-654-6220.

image-1Check out Fiona's "Bette Davis Eyes" - a truly stunning 8 month old girl with bunny-soft fur. Fiona's favorite thing is "window shopping" for birds and squirrels. When's she's not stalking the wildlife from behind glass she is typically napping (yes, in the window and probably dreaming of squirrel soup). Fiona is very independent - happy to hang out on her own during the day she just wants a little bit of attention morning and night - except if you've got out the interactive toys which she absolutely goes crazy for! Fiona would do best if she is adopted by a family with a quiet home and would do great with a kitty companion. Because she was born wild she is cautious to accept new humans into her personal space and will need a loving new family willing to earn her trust— the rewards once you win her over are great — a massive purr, bedtime sleeping companion and lots and lots of leg rubs. Fiona has lived with other cats and dogs. If you have a busy life or work long hours this low-maintenance lady might be just the beautiful face to welcome you home each day.For more adoptable pets and low cost spay/neuter information, please visit www.hopeanimalrescue.org and call us @ 518.428.2994"Let Them Know There Is H.O.P.E."

Bingo is a 3-year old neutered male American Bull Dog Mix who is up to date on his vacinnations and microchipped. He has a very sunny disposition and enjoys playing with tennis balls and will keep you laughing with his funny antics! Here he is with Steve Caporizzo on Pet Connection!
Bingo is a wonderful dog and is looking for someone that will understand his needs; he is deaf. Currently he is living in a home with several dogs (large and small). If you saw Bingo playing with the dogs he lives with, you would find it hard to believe he is deaf. He is trained to go into his crate and also knows commands for sit down and come. This is all done with hand signals. He needs someone to love him and with proper training he will continue to be the wonderful dog I know.
If you are interested in learning more about Bingo, please call Cathy at 518.424.2878

Hi, I'm Lucas and I am a super sleek, super soft 1-year-old teenage boy. I was adopted quickly as a kitten and really loved my family and they loved me too. We were so, so happy together but unfortunately they have something called "allergies". It's breaking their hearts for me to go to a new home, but I can't be responsible for so much sneezing. Here's a few things you should know about me: tuna is yummy but I don't like shrimp; the cat dancer is my favorite toy (check out all my moves); I'm great with children and used to have two of them ages 4 and 6; I'm a champion (friendly) cat wrestler; water fascinates me and so do sunbeams. I like to be up high and I also love to crawl under the covers! Are you ready for me? My bags are packed!

Clover is an 4-year-old gentle long-haired beauty. Clover is microchipped and lived on her own for a full year after accidentally getting outside. When found by HOPE, scrawny and starved, her elderly owner was unable to take her back; now she is looking for a new forever home. Clover is self-reliant: she enjoys affection but does not need constant attention. She likes to "see and be seen"; always nearby but not underfoot! Clover loves interactive toys and will often roll over on her back while playing —especially if she's had a little catnip! Overall she is relatively mellow and easy going. Clover would make an excellent companion in a quieter home without children.

All HOPE cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on their shots, and have tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV.
