H.O.P.E. Pets for Adoption

imageBentley is a 3-year old neutered male Pomeranian, who is up to date on his shots and micro-chipped. He likes to ride in the car and is good with older children and other small dogs, though he does not seem to be fond of cats. Bentley is house trained and walks well on a leash.

image-1BUCKLEY (H.O.P.E. courtesy post) Neutered male, DOB: 06/17/2011, Breed: 1/2 Pit Bull & 1/2 Rottie, Weight: approximately 75 pounds BUCKLEY gets along with most dogs and likes kids. He likes cats, but they tend to be afraid of him. He does jump so we limit him to bigger kids. He gets very excited and needs some time to calm down when someone new comes around. He's eager to please and tries very hard to do the right things. He's very big and can be a little clumsy sometimes. He loves to go to creeks, especially the one at the Route 50 SPAC entrance. He loves to run at the dog park in Ballston Spa.

He's been to the Farmer's Market and did really well there with the people and dogs. He's been to downtown Saratoga also and does well. He loves attention and thinks he's a lap dog! He's very protective and barks at anyone who comes near his "home" until we let them get closer. He's a very energetic walker and will keep you at a good pace. We do use a prong collar with him because we have a lot of wild rabbits around and he will try to chase them. I love the big lug, but it hasn't been fair to him. We can't let him play with our older dog anymore because of her hips and they're both dying to play. Contact Patti at 518-368-2374 for more info.

image-2Lilith is a 3-month old long haired white, brown, and gray tiger female kitten. She loves to play, carrying her toys around the house and then leaving them on your bed. After a busy day, she'll snuggle right up next to you to sleep at night. Lilith came from a feral cat colony and still can be a bit shy. She needs a special someone that will be patient with her, allowing her to take her time trusting you. She likes to make friends with any animal she comes in contact with: dogs and cats.

image-3Kalhi is a 3-year old, grey and white, one-of-a-kind type of cat. She loves people and any attention she can get from her humans as well as other cats or dogs. She has many toes that make her look as though she has a hand: fingers and a thumb!

imageDaisy is an extremely sweet black and white 1-year old female, who is soft as a bunny. She is very affectionate but still a bit shy. She wants to be held and cuddled but she's not sure who is safe just yet. Daisy is a purring machine and very playful! She loves catnip mice and likes hiding in a cat tunnel. She's very good at using the scratching post and hasn't scratched any furniture. Daisy gets along well with other cats and has lived with a large dog. She's a sweet girl who would make a great addition to any family!

image-1Patches LOVES to be petted and is a very affectionate, cool cat. Some of these pictures don't do him justice at all: he's a big-headed, beautiful boy. Super playful, he likes to toss his toys and play! Patches favors the lady-critters, he's not so keen on male cats or dogs. He was found living outdoors but at 6 years old, has transitioned fine into an indoor cat. If you're looking for a loyal and sweet companion who will be the king of your castle then Patches is your guy!

For a meet & greet with either of these wonderful cats, please call H.O.P.E. @ 518.428.2994. Visit us online @www.hopeanimalrescue.org to view profiles of more adoptable dogs and cats, check our events calendar and find more information on our low cost spay & neuter clinic.

H.O.P.E. Pets for Adoption

DoraDora is a small (~ 15 lbs) Corgi/Chihuahua mix. This mature lady is seeking a new home because she outlived her human. She is such a love! She enjoys attention and being petted, but is not demanding; she is quite calm & reserved. Dora is crate trained and very well behaved. She gets along with other gentle dogs and seemed unfazed in the presence of cats. Her deafness is no problem for her, though since you can't call her, she should not be off leash unless fenced in. She may startle if she doesn't see you coming, but that is easily avoided with a little courtesy.

Dora is spayed and up to date on all of her shots. Her adoption fee would be waived for a qualified senior adopter (65+yrs).

To more information on, or to visit, Dora, please call Jeanette at 518-932-9155 or email netties1960@aol.com.

GabbyGabby is a spayed, ~ 4 year old Chihuahua who is up to date on her shots. She is very submissive and good with other dogs. Gabby's foster says, "She is precious. Very adoring and loving. Gabby is definitely paper trained and goes outside too."

MumMum is a spayed ~ 2-year old female who is up to date on all her shots. Mum is very friendly and gets very excited to see her people (could be you!). She is ok with other cats, though she can be a bit grumpy with them. She and her 3 babies (Tippy, adoptable HOPE cat, is one of her babies) were rescued from living in a store parking lot. Beautiful Mum deserves a safe and loving home.

AbbeyAbbey is a sweetheart and loves to be petted. She's a beautiful gray long-haired cat with a bit of white hair on her chest, belly and 4 paws. She is healthy, spayed and up to date in all her vaccinations. Abbey is approximately 2 years old. She likes to jump up on the kitchen counter at times but has been responding very well to a little spritz of water to keep her off. She is generally a calm cat and would be a great addition to any loving household.

imageBrody is a playful, funny and sweet boy. He's friendly to dogs and people, big & small although we don't know how he'd do with feline housemates. Brody is a 4 year old neutered Cocker Spaniel who's up to date on vaccinations. He may prefer a home with older kids as he can be a little chatty/anxious, at first, in new situations. He will also be looking for a companion who can be home with him, take him along, or send him to a doggy daycare as he reportedly suffers from separation anxiety and does not do well left alone.

image (1)Sabrina is a 9-year old Shepherd/Hound mixed beauty! She's spayed and up to date on shots. She's very low key and gentle. Sabrina would be great either as an only pet or with another dog, but she does not get along with cats. Sabrina would be a free adoption to a qualified senior citizen in our senior to senior program.

image (2)Ben and Cody are adorable 3-4 month old kittens who were formerly stray babies. They are now safe, warm and used to indoor life! They are looking for their forever homes and since they're sibling best friends, we'd love for them to stay together.
