Team Sydney Benefit – by Dan O’Connor
STILLWATER AUGUST 2- The 10th Annual Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser was held for Sydney Reichart at the Home of her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bartlett. Sydney was diagnosed with CF as an infant. She is now entering her sophomore year at Stillwater high school. Sydney's grandparents have held this fundraiser for the past 10 years to both honor Sydney and to support the CF Community of NENY.

HV Football Hosts Fundraiser for Flip – by C. Barton
Hoosic Valley-The Flip Tarver Basketball Classic was held at Hoosic Valley High School on March 21st 2015 starting at 5pm. This was not just any basketball game, rather it was a fundraiser to support local Troy’s Fighting Irish football player, Jahmel “Flip” Tarver. Tarver underwent surgery in January 2014 for an Achilles tendon. Complications during this surgery left him in a comatose state where he remains today. Flip currently requires around the clock care.

Victor Lodge Hosts Benefit Breakfast – by C. Barton
Schaghticoke- Victor Masonic Lodge #680 hosted its annual fundraiser breakfast this year on March 15th. This breakfast was specifically held to benefit the ALS and MS foundations. The proceeds collected from the breakfast will be equally split to support both causes. Amyotropic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrigs’s disease and Multiple Sclerosis (MS) are both classified as neurological diseases.
